will any of this music be mentioned amongst the greatest of all time hip hop music, not even fukking close.
low level, dumb lyrics about dumb shyt
name em famI disagree with this.
There's several rappers making music RIGHT NOW that I'd put up against
any era of Hip-Hop whether that's lyricism or production only one or two can be found
on the radio, the rest of em are at work on smaller independent labels.

good beats and melodies >>>>>>>>>> that other imaginary shyt.
I just turned 30 last month. What you're saying is partially correct but the music is still relatively trash. The quality and skill level of today's artist is lacking and that's undeniable. Our ears are just used to better music. We not only grew up with good Hip Hip but the entire music scene was just top tier. There was no debate on "who's trash" because nobody you heard that was a major player was trash. Everybody had some type of skill. Now the bar is set so low you have above average rappers being labeled as Hip Hop messiahs when they're really not that special when you but em under the magnifying glass.
Now how many of them have made classic albums?Kendrick Lamar
Oddisee
Skyzoo
Elzhi
Black Milk
The Black Opera
Blu
Dalek
Killer Mike
Mr. Muthafukkin Exquire
Big K.R.I.T.
Lupe Fiasco (some duds in his discog but his best work is genuinely good.)
Royce Da 5'9" (albums aren't the greatest but lyrically, I think he can hang with just about anyone...)
Joe Budden
Crooked I
Horseshoe Gang
Talib Kweli
KA
Supastition (Just dropped an album again last year after a LONG hiatus.)
Vakill (been three years since his last album but lyrically and production wise it was banging !)
Killah Priest
Scarface
Some older rappers, some younger rappers, some in between but generally they're all artists doing
hot shyt NOW. IMO. And I could name more but I'm not near my music collection.
This is revisionist garbage... We let Shaq drop an album![]()
