I gotta say it's one of the few games where the gameplay is as important as the graphics and art. It looks stunning but it's also very fluid to play once you get the hang of it. It almost feels like what Dragons Dogma was trying to accomplish especially hunting the larger robo dinos.

Anyways, this game surprised the hell out of me. Before release I was all, "Robot dinosaurs? Sounds fukking dumb. Why would someone create robot dinosaurs? Impractical." Then I was all, "LOL Guerrilla Games ain't made a game worth a fukk in 8 years and even that had its problems."

Then the reviews started dropping

Then I saw some twitch streams

Then I got it.

Games fukking great yall. I have 2 main gripes with the game. The RPG elements and customization are fairly shallow. The skill tree is set up so that you're pretty much eventually gonna just have everything unlocked. And there's not much difference in the armors at all. Seems like mods put a LITTLE change into how you play, but not to the extent I'd prefer. Also, the side characters in the game overall are just kinda.....meh. Nobody's really that fleshed out or around long enough to really make you care about them. They're all just pretty bland. Even Aloy is kinda bland. Just some generic characterization that I'd like to see improved on in RPGs. And the UI is kinda cluttered at times.

Besides that, it's a great game. 8.5/10 for me so far. It's one of those games though where you know the sequel that eventually comes out will crush the buildings tho

its more of an action adventure than an RPG honestly. The focus is more on story, combat and exploration, and the RPG stuff is pretty secondary. I wouldn't even necessarily refer to it as a WRPG.
