This is a catch 22. First date they didn't owe each other anything, and women definitely keep a pocket dikk until they're ready to be serious with someone else which you just gotta accept nowadays, but it is some level of disrespect doing it right after a date. I know it happens and I know people's feelings can change, but I personally don't think I could let it go. It's disrespectful. So he probably did do the right thing.
