How BIG do you see Benny becoming with this Def Jam/Rocnation push he is about to get?

This isn’t a slight at all. It really means mission accomplished.

They gonna have to get GOOD MUSIC Mercy era creative on the next wave.

Not at all. I’m pretty sure they have accomplished the goals they set out on. It’s just on them to do them now. I fukk with Benny and Machine heavy so I’m down for whatever they putting out.

Yea, it is an outdated and quite frankly wack perspective. It’s cool to think that way when you’re 18. As we all grow and expand our knowledge we should always strive to sharpen our sword and since Hip-Hop is a part of most of our DNA I would think that continuing to love the essence & strive to always create & chase for greatness at every turn should be admired. If an MC grows into his 40’s and still makes great music from a wiser man’s perspective who are we to judge?
Exactly, like damn this is the culture , we was raised on this shyt , it should be normal for rappers to rap into older years , who the fukk we gonna listen too when we get old :heh: Yeah I love it was written but I also like his new shyt with hitboy

I dont have high expectations. Griselda is close to being washed. Benny is the only one with any type of marketability and I think it will be good but if he wants it to really hit, he needs to try and give as much of the TT3 vibe as possible. TT3/Plugs1/Burden mix. he really hasnt had many misteps but we will see how he puts it together.....
A 40 year old nikka with mutton chops who raps about drug dealing in a conversational tone over drumless samples is marketable?

WSG actually the most marketable one and for that reason the most famous.

Rap the only genre where older acts get shat on.

We are our own biggest haters at times....obviously we know why that is and the roots in white supremacy but still.

We know how to hate on our own and do a damn good job of it too .
Boo hoo man he just spitting the same run of the mill street shyt relax :russell:

False nikka. Marketable as far as music inside of the camp. didn’t say mainstream. Both TT4 and Burden of Proof first week sales doubled any other Griselda release including all Shady ones and WWCD. Benny has had respectable sales and by far the most out of Griselda hence is why he is the first and only with a major deal. West was more popular because he was first to take off and it was his label. But his highest charter peaked where Benny debuted at.

I think he'll be the biggest artist on Def Jam since the Flatlinerz

Def Jam as most of these labels are trash and only exist to trick artists in to thinking they have more to offer when they really just leeches at this point if you not a major star. In a day of independence it’s their only way to make money by leeching and 360 deals.

Truth.

These labels only sign people now who've proven to be able to make money on their own. This isn't the 90's, where they would take untapped talent and actually help them develop into better artists. That's too costly for them. So now, they want every dime they can make off of more established artists. They use these deals to basically trick artists into thinking inking with them is advantageous. But if you're already popping or have a decent following, there's literally no reason to even bother with a label today.

On his own he's probably going platinum. Especially if he uses the same flow on the whole album and only raps about his plugs.

But if he adds a couple of Stove God hooks and a Keisha Plum verse talking about castrating a dude then it's multi plat for sure.

But if he's got a few Conductor Williams beats sampling electric screwdrivers looped backwards then he might go diamond.
