:snoop: This song and Nastradamous are the lowest point of his career by far. I don't even think Nas realises how badly he fell off before Stillmatic.

Nas Feat. Blitz -Street Glory
Nas Feat. Prodigy - Self Conscience
Nas Feat. Millenium Thug - Teenage Thug
Nas - Real nikkas

The whole Lost Tapes album. Kills this so called theory that "nas fell off" riff raft.

Pac has the better catalog, more powerful songs and nas is a fraction of what pac is as an artist. I'm a nas fan but this is the truth. Pac's been dead 16 yrs. plenty of time for nas to pull ahead as the undisputed goat. Did he do it,nope. Only called the goat from east coast bias nikkas that cant accept pac's dominance

A fraction?:why:

Ima kill this noise right now ur pseudo intellectual ass.

Jay just admitted what every artist does in their career
Pac said the same thing about how he doesnt use things such as metaphors and the like cuz he wants to people to easily understand him..so stop it slime

How much money he has how much bottles he popped?? nikka the fact that you merely recognize subject matter in the art of rap shows ur stupidity and ur limited vision when it comes to this sht.

nikka u aint foolin nobody with your smart dumb nikka comments.
Jay talks about his life, past, about how he's better than other rappers, etc.

He's being himself on tracks. Not trying to kick knowledge about sht he aint about.
When he does try to kick knowledge its always about being a good hustler.
Something he's really about.
ANd the fact ur trying to discredit him for that is comedy.
More comedic is that you're tryna condescendingly speak down to those that do.
nikka miss me with ur sht ur post is exactly why ur ass has no busines arguing art u dumb fukk.
Jay has always been a rapper that loves competition.
Thats why in alot of his tracks he's always spitting verses shytting on other rappers in the game, whether in general or specifically.

This nikka really discrediting a rapper for being himself...nikka gtfo and shut ur smart dumass up nikka.

Listen to some lupe or some sht and listen to some smart dumb nikka music :rudy:

Dont get mad at me over something Jay Z said himself. So let me get this straight --- openly admitting that you remove substance from your rhymes (which is reflected in his material throughout his career) is somehow virtuous? Thats something we should celebrate, and thats an artist we should consider a GOAT candidate? Where they do that at?

Jay Z dumbed his rhymes to double his dollars, but in the process he removed himself from a serious discussion about the greatest MC's of all time. I like Jay well enough, but thats my opinion. And don't use the "he was only staying in his lane" excuse. Nas didnt even attend high school.

its not like camel is the only artist who did this, he was just bold enough to admit it.

that still dosent take away from him being one of the goats.

Cats on here kill me... And I'm a Nas fan... :heh:

I just respect other people's choice of music... :leon:

Why would you be a fan of someone who produces "stagnant raps over boring beats"? Dont body yourself here

DUmbing down doesnt equate to losing substance. Wdh??

It jus means ur making ur music more accessible and making it easier for the audience to hear ur message

The same thing Pac did and admitted.

So does that mean we should disqualify Pac from Goat discussion? :leon:

The problem is u dont understand that theres more to rap than what u like to call "lyricism".

You ever take into account that when Jay allegedly dumbed down his lyrics and that he started to focus on things like song structure, flow versatility, making his cadence more appealing, improving his delivery, etc etc.?

Dude shut up with ur smart dumb nikka comments, again u aint foolin anybody.:stopitslime:

Jay talked about dumbing down the content of his music so more people would buy his music, so he would make more money.

Pac talked about not trying to put as many rhyming syllables in his verses as he could so people would focus on the message in his music.

See the difference?

SO would u say the same about Pac fans then seeing as how Pac said the same thing? :leon:

And the fact that u made this backhanded post shows how lil u actually realize how many factors there are in rap than just lyricism.:steviej:

Your stannery knows no bounds and it's very entertaining but I thought you retired after ether day? Or should I post that link to refresh your memory?

ANd ur point? According to their admissions they both have different motivations for supposedly sacrificing their artistic integrity so again though their motivation may be different they both essentially did the same thing.

So again the question..does that disqualify Pac from GOAT discussion?:whoo:

Peppering your arguments with personal insults isnt helping your case much --- you come across as an emotional wreck thats incapable of maintaining a rational discussion about a frivolous topic.

Question. Why is "song structure, flow versatility, making his cadence more appealing, improving his delivery" mutually exclusive from substantive lyrics? Why cant all those things go hand in hand?

Ill tell you why, because the difference between Nas and Jay z, is the difference between a nice home cooked meal, and going through the drive through. Its easier to "freestyle" your rhymes and center your material almost completely on selling birds, flaunting wealth, and living in the club, just like fast food is easier to get, is tremendously popular, and often tastes very good. Nobody would make the claim that fast food is higher in quality than home cooked.

And in many ways that approach has made Jay more entertaining than Nas in some respects --- but he is not the better artist. Not by a long shot.

:why:

No they didn't. Jay spits dumb content to appeal to shallow people. Pac spits less rhyming syllables to appeal to people who can relate to the content of his music. Pac didn't sacrifice artistic integrity whereas Jay does.

The fact that Jay has the ability to be as lyrical as Nas and yet has one over on Nas on the other aspects of rap shows that Jay is the better MC
And again how much times do I have to tell u that dumbing down ur lyrics hardly has anything to do with the substance of them..stop trying to make them mean the same thing.

Jay is the better MC
