Still, in harmony with your question, I don't think Black men do particularly well with taking orders and structure. Matter fact I think most men in general regardless of race would rather do their own thing in life. With prison though, I think circumstances force adjustment with Blacks being the most resistant. Not to mention Black men are self destructive in many ways, historically taught to hate ourselves and the result is the lack of unity even in prison unless forced to have solidarity (race riots) On the other hand, whites being a minority in prison settings, are forced to become organized for protection and in some cases they become predatory in their own right (AB, Texas AB, 211 Crew, EK etc.)

Interesting, but in California aren't blacks a minority compared to the mexicans and yet still disorganised? I find the structures of the other prison gangs very interesting, but when I try to read up on Black prison gangs I can't find anything.
