No one is saying that it’s advanced but rather more that people are stupid. Or maybe a lot more people like simple music, specially kids that drive views. It’s jusr to check the billboard 100. Check Jay-Zs biggest hits vs hiphop heads favorite songs of his etc.
no one is that stupid.

I'm someone who believe that majority of people r dumb.

But they r not lacking the intelligence to understand fukkin Cole:mjlol:

Cole's song is rather straightforward/Simple infact his whole catalog is that and people can comprehend what he's saying.

As for Jay he's no different. Only thing about Jay that will make people not understand is his references in his lyricism every now and then.

Beside that u know what Jay is saying and the overall point.

Debut at 8...dropped to 43 the second week and now it’s slid to 57:picard:

I don’t know the last time we’ve seen a stars song flop like this with this much backing

It’s the official song of the playoffs and Cole is in every playoff promo

Are we st the point where labels can’t just force songs to be hits anymore?

So it's over?

He’s on roc nation AND Interscope.

Kendrick is on aftermath AND Interscope.

They have the same machine behind them. People need to stop acting like cole is out here on Koch.
Not really

Interscope didn't sign Cole. RocNation did. He wasn't even on Interscope originally. Sony distributed him first.

Huh? J Cole was on Columbia (ie Sony) first; Roc Nation is his management deal. When his album deal ended with Columbia he signed to Interscope, bringing over his Dreamville imprint for distribution.

He's been on Interscope for the last two albums. So all this machine talk can cease: he's on the same major label as Kendrick now.

Nah I don’t like the song
But I hate fans scrutinizing sales
Video gamers don’t do this
Movie watchers don’t do this(except Marvel heads)

Just enjoy the music

shyt too fast food now... It’s been this way for a few years now. That song is doing well IMO, I hear it everywhere. I could’ve sworn people were saying the charts don’t matter now. Do the charts matter or not?

Ppl were more mad that JL was shytty

If it had low sales but was great ppl would just be disappointed

Music listeners use sales as a sign of quality or indictment for artists

There’s a clear difference

:dahell:How is a song at 37 million views on youtube a flop? Charts aren't the only place you should be checking.

YouTube views got demoted this year when it comes to Billboard charts. It's all about (Paid)Spotify/Apple Music streams that matter now.
