It wasn't Melvin's place to give the message......but what he told him was correct.
Jody should have either worked with Melvin at his business, found a legit job at a warehouse or some shyt or gone to community college (or all of the above). 19 year old with nothing to do.....shoulda been like "Hey Mon." Just working and stacking paper.

Good point. It's not even about single motherhood. Some moms prepare their kids and some don't.
She babied him and then expected him to magically get his shyt together at age 20. You have to be in your kid's ear when they are 7, 8, 9 and 10. Instill good shyt early so that they don't start fukking up in middle school.
