Because the real world doesn't give a fukk about Deck outside of Triumph and Cappa drives an Uber brehs. If it were just about Meth, Ghost, RZA, ODB and Rae, sure. Too many second and third stringers to care about.

:laff: at Wu movie being a mini series. That doesn't even make sense. Given the history with biopics, a lot of the stories that fans/stans are familiar with and want to see won't even be given screen time. People are really forgetting that it's a movie. Secondly, it'll be made with "what's going to get people to buy tickets to see it" vs. "what's going to please Wu fans". A lot of die hard fans hate biopics because things are left out and rewritten.

Lmaaaaoo at Wu-Tang story being better than NWA. Ya stans outta control.

:russ:

It would definitely be better but it's damn near impossible to tell. There's too much that happened and too many members.

Let's be real here. I'm glad the movie got made and I'm not even agreeing with the thread....but that NWA movie was pretty damn weak. It's not like there's this high ass bar for a Wu movie to over come. They left out a gang of shyt and half the movie is pure duck tails fueled by Cube and Dre's egos.

You could browse the FBI file on Wu and come up with a more interesting story. The problem is it would be nonstop fukkery that doesn't really translate well into a coherent story.

There's too many people and plus their story isn't as dramatic. Plus there's no resolve to their bickering/end of the story yet.

Public Enemy deserves a movie.

This is the type of shyt that would never make it onto a movie that Wu stans would complain about.

You're better off getting Marvel to greenlight a Bobby Digital movie

Nah that's fairly obscure. It's not like "SOC" omitting "Real Muthaphukkin G's". I'm just saying there is a ton of ridiculous shyt you could put into a Wu movie. Far more than an NWA movie. The problem is there's so much and across so many people and places it would be impossible to film.

NWA's story is way more cinematic than Wu's. Nigs was going at police, pioneering gangsta rap, catching Aids, causing riots, etc... Wu was just some dope ass grimy rappers who incorporated kung fu, I mean that from a directors's point of view, there wasn't any real social impact there that would captivate movie makers or movie goers on an emotional level, like everybody else said id rather get a documentary on wu. I think a DMX movie would be crazy as fukk, would touch people's emotions. Public enemy jawn would be nuts too. Zulu Nation jawn too.

Let's see...

NWA has three of the biggest icons in rap history in Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Eazy-E...

They changed hip hop through their content and were huge figures in the late 80's. NWA is more influential than Wu-Tang, and I'm a far bigger Wu-Tang fan it is what it is.

What exactly is Wu-Tang's story? There isn't a compelling coherent story to be told. Cac Wu-Tang fans in here fooling themselves.

A TV series on Wu-Tang Clan beginning and rise to stardom would be better.

a Wu Tang movie wouldnt work. Especially not a commercial hollywood one. Wu Tang is too left field and hip hop to be accurately portrayed in a film that would appeal to the general audience. and making it a BET movie or a straight to DVD film would only make the quality wack

i keep saying most of the hip hop stories we want to see as movies would really work excellently as a tv series in the same reall of The Wire or Narcos, something that takes place from 1985 to 2005, taking place in New York and maybe LA too. something with a good budget and great no name actors.
