How did Odell fall from Top 5 to not mentioned at all so quickly?

Its 100% on Mara because McAdoo shouldn't have ever been in the position to make the call. It was very clear Eli was declining before Wackadoo got there, he should have been out long before. Mara's allegiance to mediocrity was unbelievable to me and I always laughed when muhfukkas called the Giants "one of the most well run organizations". Hold on to a clearly declining asset at the game's most important position, you aren't running your organization well lmao...
McAdoo went 11-5 his first year and his next year is when Beckham went out with a season ending injury and the Giants had other injuries so it was just a washed season. They should have kept him, he was better than wack ass Shurmur.

Eli was good earlier in his career, he was always declining during the Odell years. Eli's last Top 10 year by passer rating was '11 and the last year you could even borderline argue him as a Top 10 guy would be '12...

He was never good when Odell had him, he was average or worse and just had Odell to make him look good sometimes. Giants should have moved off of bum ass Eli no later than '14...
That's what I'm saying, everyone of them played during Eli's prime so making borderline pros look good is what a good QB is supposed to do.

He was hurt all of last year, the oline was horrible and he had the worst HC in the league. He's finally healthy the browns drafted the left best tackle and and signed the top rt to go along with 2 pro bowl caliber lineman. It's now one of the best in the league. Baker is finally in shape and has a competent HC. OBJ should be able to beast this year.

But a generational talent.

Yeah, but your organization has to expend so much energy to get the best out of him sometimes it's not worth it. McAdoo did the best job coaching him and they fired him. Gettleman/Shurmur 's lazy asses didn't even want to try. :yeshrug:

1) cant stay healthy

2) drops a high amount of passes compared to other elite receivers. Including several bad drops in his only playoff game

3) played last year in a system where the QB barely threw to him in the red zone for some non-logical reason
