Got laid off from a "damn good job"


Had to move in with my older brother

Who also decided to hire me working for his promotional firm booking shows for artists and running a magazine promoting hip hop

He decides he wants to "bring 88 back" and reasurrect his Crack Career at the age of 34

Which resulted in our door getting kicked in while my baby mama and my new born who was only 6 months old was spending the weeek with us

Landlord said we got to go..cause my brother had the whole complex hot wasn't "cooperating" with law enforcement

Moved out in a month

Working odd jobs staying with babymama at her spot with her at her spot

By 2011 me and babymama split up and had became a HOBOSEXUAL ...

That was about the time I finished college. It's an understatement to say the job market was rough.

Had to settle for a job making like 14/hr for a couple years despite having a degree.

I was remodeling houses with my dad. We worked for people with old money so we didn’t hurt at all. My mom works for the state so she didn’t get affected. It was work and party for me. I had just turned 21 too

I went to Miami for vacation for the first time that year too

It hit my pop pretty hard, though. Got laid off, and ended up having to move to Mississippi for a job. He’s been trying to get he and my mom back to NC ever since.

Gas prices were crazy.

I can remember when I was real low on funds, and needed gas to last the week until I got paid, I’d scrape up 5 or 6 bucks and pray that little bit of gas could get me from A&T’s campus to my grandma in Winston. She’d fill my tank up. I just had to get there.
