Just don't make it a permanent way of life. Stack your paper for now and make an exit plan.
Oh yea, I know. I been saving too, don't know what'll happen yet, but I'm making the right moves to get to the next step

At least 2nd shift brehs don't have to get up early :manny:

How do 2nd shift in shape brehs handle dinner though? I heard if you eat right before you go to sleep, you become :flabbynsick:

3rd shift though :picard: must be WOAT on your days off where you sleep during the day and is up all night, even in modern times with Netflix and such I would hate that, I'm unemployed right now and my Sleep pattern is 1AM -11AM most days, I hate it, Prefer a 11PM - 7/8 AM sleep pattern.

I wouldn't mind working 2nd shift, granted I would miss most Mets and Knick games, and wouldn't be able to watch none of my shows live, but that's only real L :ld:

Can't speak for anyone else, but when I worked 2nd shift, I didn't get off and go right to sleep when I got home. You still have to wind down just like you would with first shift so you can eat dinner when you get home or before work is over. Also most times I skipped what's typically the breakfast hours and so "breakfast" would be like at noon, lunch at like 4 or 5 and then dinner when I got off.

Sleep patterns... I get off at 11, come home and stay up til like 1(on a good night) 3 or later If the coli is cracking. Sleep til like 10am if I'm lucky. TRY to get in the gym for a 1 1/2 hr session 2 1/2 is my goal. Leave by 1:30 at the latest cause I gotta get home to shower cause I gotta get my niece from school. Get her back help with her homework & next thing I know I'm heading out the door to work again...

I missed Drizzy, Ye, Bey, & Rih cause their shows were on weeknights. Hell I missed the Bad Boy one too. I can only catch a Bulls game on the weekends... the last time I saw a Bulls game that wasn't on a Saturday or Sunday was I thjnk Thanksgiving. I saw the Cubs win only cause the game went over & the rain delay. The only time I catch the news is mid-day news since the evening runs while at work & morning is while I'm sleep.

:mjcry:

I've been working 2nd shift for the last 14+ years and 3rd for the last 5. I'm starting to hate this shyt, especially the overnight because I basically do the weekends. It was cool at first used to switch off with my coworker, so I can have Saturday Night-Sunday Morning off. But then when a new program manager came in started micro managing and putting up cameras my coworker got shooked and didn't wanna switch off anymore. I feel that it's my fault for not taking advantage of opportunities that presented themselves to get me out of this bs. Hopefully in the next couple of months shyt will change for me.

It takes a certain mindset and it also matters what you're doing. If you're doing monotonous physical labor jobs, then it is difficult to handle a ton of hours.

I'm an exempt employee so I don't get anything for working extra hours but there are times when I have to work a lot more than 40. I can do whatever I want on the weekends and any free hours I have during the week are just a bonus. Working a lot of hours can force you to be better with time management so sometimes it actually feels like you have more time off than when you have a lax schedule and just end up wasting some of that time.
