How's everyone's savings looking with Q3 coming to an end soon?

I really fcuked up this summer, tricked off way too much money cause I was stressed and I buy shyt. Laptop, 3 pairs of J's, etc in the last 40 days. That's 1,300 that should have been in the bank. Now I gotta re focus and stack for Christmas cause I never want to buy gifts w credit. I'm getting away from using these credit cards.

edit.
Oh and weed, easily another $300 over the course of the summer.

Gonna start bring my lunch and being focused again. I don't have to pay for daycare in the summer, but instead of stacking that $$ I blew it all. :mjcry:

Cards are OK, just make sure u can pay em off every month

Never carry interest on a card for anything but absolute emergencies

I kept that up for years fam, YEARS. But I fell off, wife lost her job while she was pregnant and you start doing sh!t like paying bills w your visa, and do that for a couple months and you get into a hole that perpetuates itself. I havent' been trying to get back to even as hard as I should. My credit cards are just another bill now. I have dreams of being back at Zero, but that's all they'll be for a while, dreams lol

That money I tricked off all summer could have went towards getting out of debt, but :yeshrug:
Gonna get better tho.

Setbacks happen :manny:

Just make sure you get back on it. I too spent some of mine and about to do it again. Took $1.5K out to use when i was moving for random stuff. About to take another $1.5K to pay off some CCs, Should bring me back down to the $4.5K. Still not bad for a year.

4.5K.... Not bad at all. If I don't have any major setbacks, I should be on track for 8K for the entire fiscal year and about 6.5K for the calendar year(missed out on January & February income). Next year, I wanna have a better paying job and try to save about 10K.

I got dreams worth more than my bank balance :mjcry:

We all have to start somewhere..... No lie, I was dead broke at the beginning of this year. I exhausted all of my savings and my car was repo'd. I understand how to save money (and I don't really do much), so I have accumulated a very nice rainy day fund that I hope will become my retirement fund in about 2-3 years when I'm completely on top of my financial situation.

All of my debt has been cleared.... I need to fix my credit, but I'm going to diversify my assets and income streams beforehand.

I could never understand why cats do this to themlselves? :snoop:
I have never ever bought a pair of shoes for over $100. EVER. Closest ive been was a pair that cost $94 and ended up crossing the $100 mark after taxes.

Real talk, I've never ever done that in my entire life. Like never and I'm over 30. It truly was some stress sh!t I regret doing. I've bought an occasional pair J's as an adult cause I never had any as a kid. But this month I went full Retard on retro's

I'm honestly probably going to return one pair cause I feel so stupid about in now.

Live like you're broke.

Only thing I splurge on is video games because it keeps me in the house and out of the streets spending.

Ghettofabulousness and irresponsibility.
See it all the time.
Fools running around with hot cars and the latest bling and sleepin on bare mattresses in a closet.
Debt to income ratio so high you can see mt Kilimanjaro from it.
Credit score so low they couldn't get approved for a $50 loan.
People are just irresponsible...

Once. For Timberlands... they were on sale though(and baby blue). I've never paid full price for Timbs. Unfortunately, I cannot purchase shyt shoes like everyone else because I have fukked up feet and ankles, so I have to purchase shoes that will last. 100.00 is my limit too. It's hard because I have big feet too, so I have to pay regular price and cop at first release or I won't be able to get them. J 's were too expensive at 150.00 and they are too expensive now. What does a J cost these days? 250? 300? I honestly don't know because I don't fukk with J's(most of them are ugly to me too).

I digress...

Dont get me wrong, doggy. I understand we all have that ONE THING that we over splurge on. I just never unsderstoood the fascination with Jordans. I know this one cat who lives here in ATL but is from OH. Dude will spend his rent check on Js and be asking to borrow money on some "let me hold $20 and i'll give you $30 next week" type sh!t

Personally my weakness is eating out. I spend a lot of money dining at restaurants. Lase week alone i spent close to $200 on dinner. Not counting lunches.

I know there are poor people, but I'm specifically referring to cats who are able bodied and have decent jobs. If you got a decent gig, how in the hell do you allow yourself to be in a position where you can tell someone "I'm broke"?

Now for me, if I say "I'm broke", that means that I don't have any discretionary income that I want to spend. That doesn't mean that I have ZERO dollars. I ALWAYS have money saved for emergencies or whatever else. but I have heard plenty of otha nikkas/women claim that they have no money til they get paid for instance. how do you allow yourself to live so hand to mouth? how can you be comfortable NOT having jack shyt in case some shyt goes down?? totally irresponsible.

for instance, if I had 50K saved up, and I spent all my "allowance" that I allow myself every two weeks, then to me, I'm broke. what about ya'll?

Knee grows get just a little bit of money and want to criticize the world.

I hear you breh.

Personally i own ZERO jewelry. Just bough a house and got student loans but im managing. My credit score just dropped 30 points putting me below 700 (698) for the 1st time in years. Thats mostly because with the house i bought recently ive been using my CCs a lot. Car been paid off for at least 4 years but i may need to upgrade it soon tho.

You can't stay rich (or get rich) by spending stupid money on stupid things.
I drive a paid off vehicle with 300K+ on the engine and tranny...all in top shape though due to keen maintenance over the years.
No student loans for me, college wasn't all it seemed. Doing better than most I know without a degree (Thank you Jesus!).
Credit score is :krs: too!
Fine ass wife, smart kid, nice home.
I'm good.
