ROFL!!
I work with a raggedy trick like this.
Chick goes broke going to carnival multiple times a year, works 2 jobs, can't afford to register her old lexus in-state because the insurance is too high here, lives from check to check, you know the routine...
:comeon:
Yet she constantly bills herself to others as being desirable and the shyt and that all men should want her.
Funny thing is...no quality men do.
She's constantly around the office complaining about the 2c men that she's met and all the games they play. She's even travelled to other countries trying to follow up with these worthless bums and they play her when she gets there.
You wouldn't believe the sob stories this chick tells around the office...it's pathetic.
But you won't ever hear her say that the problem might be her...because...she's perfect...right!?
:usure:

:pachaha::bryan::pacspit:
Dumbytch....
lol i hear you

The breh im talking about got mad Chiks all over. That's his problem. He spends money on women and yet struggles to pay his child support.

Some people were never taught how to budget and save. It's in our culture to buy what we can't afford. Besides living within your means, There are also other personal factors in play. Some people are working minimum wage. That same $10 shirt that I bought which is the equivalent of what I make in ten minutes, is equal to a whole hour worth of work to someone else.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
I agree with what you're saying. But most people don't have 50k in savings.

And, honestly, in modern times, I don't know how critical that is.

Having a good steady income and good credit = Savings.

If you've can easily get a LOC for 50K why worry about having cash on hand ?

If I was advising the guy I would've told him pay it off.

Dude's making 200k a year. No emergency will cost so much that he can't put it on his credit card and pay if off in a couple months

  • has never had a 401K or Roth IRA or any form of retirement savings
  • Doesnt pay his student loans but complains about his credit being bad and how "white people invented a system to rate him and keep him down"
  • Living in an expensive ass apartment thats under his moms name
  • Struggling to keep up his child support payments
But he just sent me a text with a pic of a Porsche that he just bough. A 2 year old Porsche but still. :what:
Are Porshe's going put of business and selling all their cars buy 1 get 2 free or something? This is the 3rd person i know who got one this year. :lupe:

Spending money before it hit the bank then chasing the next payday.

Running on that proverbial hamster wheel till something rock your life and expose how unprepared you are.

This is normal today with the inflation.

I don't "see" struggle today or poverty. It is veiled behind nice clothes and appearances. Not like when we were growing up and we knew people were living rough and you could see it on them. While we are carrying on this illusion the rate of disintegration of middle society is in full swing.

Some people just don't know they broke yet. Cuz the things they own own them. You need 200k plus just to quality for a single detached home mortgage in my city. I was working for lawyer and she was telling she's struggling in this city. Now think about everyone who isn't seeing that level of income.

We all want to go out to eat and spend money dress well, travel. That's how. I know baristas that are in the air in exotic vacations every other month. Since COVID I know people living part time in exotic countries. I know their income levels as well. It's a lot of people walking that tight rope.

the interest u pay on a credit card is far greater than the interest u pay on ur mortgage. if u can pay off the house and still have emergency fund money, then do it. if not, then I think ur better off keeping the mortgage.

right now, I think if I sold off all my assets (besides my house), I could scrape together the money to pay off my mortgage right now. but I'm not going to liquidate assets to pay off a debt with a 3% interest rate.

u gotta pay yourself first before anything. I'm talking about contributing to your retirement at a MINIMUM. if you can invest additional money, that's great. and not having any type of emergency fund is blasphemous.

I'm paying child support for the next 5 years, so I understand that that sucks, but I still contribute to my retirement, have a full emergency fund, a personal investment fund, a paid off older car (8 years old), and live in my own house that I can afford to pay the mortgage on.

on top of that, I always have some kinda side hustle, where my only goal is to make $800 a month (which I usually exceed), which is very doable.

but I don't care about extravagance. fancy clothes or fancy whips. that shyt'll keep u broke.

I agree if your'e not making much.

But you got people making 70-90k and still broke, so there's a certain point where you're just living beyond your means and it's your own fault. I mean if you're paying a $500 car note and complaining about being broke every month :francis:
Try 700-1000 car note now :wow:
