Also, I hate that this is how the discussion has played out. Just that fast, the discussion about holding corporations to task is lost because we're having an internal debate about Diddy and his artists. Whitey wins again.

Dr. Umar made the point that sometimes we can keep our internal disagreements to ourselves when theres a greater collective goal at hand (starts at 2:25)

This...but we know these idiots on social media got about 3 brain cells and can't do more than 1 thing at once.

He ain't no billionaire, regardless you don't have to be a billionaire to help someone out. Giving is all relative, if all those people who's criticizing diddy sent 5 dollars to rob or someone they know in need it would be worth something. People rather get on a high horse than do something. Who cares if diddy helps or not. If you feel strongly about then come out your pocket

Amen....say it louder so the folks in the back can hear you.

It's business... Puff, Birdman, J. Prince, Jay, and other black executives are the only people expected to look out for people no longer signed to them for the rest of their lives...

I can't call an old old job that I quit or got fired from because I'm broke and say that I helped them make millions and they should break me off. We hold each other to draconian standards in relations to business.

Jay doesn't have a history of artists having gripes over money/contracts, Diddy does. It is known that Birdman doesn't pay anybody even when they're signed to him.

Puff, Birdman, etc are indeed businessmen, but you don't see Clive Davis or Tommy Mottola pretending to be overly friends with ppl and claiming them as family etc.

When you do that, ppl expect you to be different

Rob is a former employee. It would be a nice gesture for Diddy to look out for him but I don't feel he's entitled to support him for the duration of his life.

This.

If I was Diddy, I would do it on the low. Because real talk, if it comes out everyone and they mom gonna hit Diddy up.

You never saw Clive speak at Whitney's funeral? And Tommy married his artist, wtf are you talking about?

Diddy don’t owe black Rob shyt

diddy didn’t tell homie to knock up 4 different women

diddy didn’t tell him to do crimes or get into drinking and drugs

diddy did give him a shytty contract, but nikkas should have read it, because nikkas think that diddy, Suge and the other executives are black they have your back and they don’t .. them nikkas are almost bigger snakes than white label executives

Diddy is fukked up in so many ways

-His contracts are terrible (see the interview with the lox)

-He doesn’t look out for any of his artist. At least Jay looks out for Memphis bleek, hell, even swizz beats still looks out for Cassidy and Cassidy didn’t sell shyt.

-Black Rob was the start of the new era for puff after he left that shiny suit mase phase.
