Diddy is fukked up in so many ways

-His contracts are terrible (see the interview with the lox)

-He doesn’t look out for any of his artist. At least Jay looks out for Memphis bleek, hell, even swizz beats still looks out for Cassidy and Cassidy didn’t sell shyt.

But Jay and Memph are actually tight friends. How many other artists is Swizz looking out for right now? How many artists is Diddy obligated to take care of once they become less popular?

Does Luda still lookout for his former group mates? What about master P and the 10,000 people he signed? Where they at?

Where is the line between business and friendship and when is it ok to end those relationshups?

Rob was on bad boy for damn near a decade before he dropped anything. And he was taken care of.

The expectations people have for celebs are stupid. You get money you have more people than you could imagine coming at you for help. At some point you have to make a stand and stick to it. Business is not personal.

There's a video of Diddy and Rob in the studio where Diddy is trying to get rob to work and Rob just wanna hang out and drink while Diddy is working. That should show you the dynamic of why people get where they are. Even the lox who had a beef with Puff have always said he out worked then and everyone else around him. Now years later everyone want to keep tapping his pockets. NOPE

Diddy don’t owe black Rob shyt

diddy didn’t tell homie to knock up 4 different women

diddy didn’t tell him to do crimes or get into drinking and drugs

diddy did give him a shytty contract, but nikkas should have read it, because nikkas think that diddy, Suge and the other executives are black they have your black and they don’t .. them nikkas are almost bigger snakes than white label executives

Curious. Who proposes these music contracts? Was it entirely Bad Boy, or does the parent company have a say in the amount of $ per artist.

I agree 10 albums for 450k seems like a bad decision.... however, is that because he could recoup more on tours / merchandise ?

Idk. Just asking.

Jay doesn't have a history of artists having gripes over money/contracts, Diddy does. It is known that Birdman doesn't pay anybody even when they're signed to him.

Even with that our own hate Jay more than thr others

Why you think that is

My reason is I think black people as a whole think having money is the devil ....

But steady talk about we don't have people in high places that look like us

And if they do get there it's the devil

Strange world

There’s a difference between taking care of somebody and leaving them homeless and destitute especially when you have a net worth of 980 million dollars. Now if Diddy did try and reach out then I apologize but Diddy has a history of abandoning his artist (see Loon) and horrible contracts compared to Jay.

It's business... Puff, Birdman, J. Prince, Jay, and other black executives are the only people expected to look out for people no longer signed to them for the rest of their lives...

I can't call an old old job that I quit or got fired from because I'm broke and say that I helped them make millions and they should break me off. We hold each other to draconian standards in relations to business.
I don't think anyone gives a fukk about J. Prince.

But Diddy and Baby are both known for exploiting their artists, actively skimming money or outright not paying them, and signing them to twisted deals.

This isn't a relationship where you're "just" an employee and they're the head of the company having never met you.

They reached out to and signed artists, guided them through the process, instilled trust, and then robbed them blind.

Wayne had to fight a court battle for years to get the hundreds of millions Baby owed him.
