That doesnt sound fun either.

hell naw it wasn’t, I was bullshytting the first time on getting that shyt. I was scared I would move and end up getting paralyzed during the procedure. Until one day that pain got so unbearable I was like fuk it let’s do it.

Let me tell you about the shyt, I will say this the room felt like I was in a damn alien space ship. Hospital was brand new and everything was state of the art. Big ass perfect circular room with a metal bed directly in the middle, huge monitors so they can see in your spine. Big ass X-ray machine thing directly over top of you, all kinds of monitors. I walked in like :gladbron:. Whoever designed that shyt they did they thing.

They introduce you to the team of doctors it was like 4 or 5 of them each have there role. Then they lay your ass face down so you can’t see the needles and instruments that’s going to be using to dig in yo shyt. I was like hell naw I want to see it, they like you sure? I’m like damn right turned around and huge metal needles and crazy looking shyt :picard:, this stuff makes the dentist look like child’s play. doc like “don’t worry I got this, we do this all the time it’s worse than it looks.” Your going to be just fine, you shouldn’t feel pain but it may feel uncomfortable” They started the procedure I’m laying there ready :unimpressed: then I felt this jolt of what felt like electricity in damn back :sadcam: I move a little bit , Doc like  don’t move. I am feeling a burning tingly feeling that just like he said feels uncomfortable is hell. He says you may be in heavy pain the first few hours then things should start to quickly get better. Man I walked into the appointment with a limp and walked out in a damn wheel chair:dahell:but just like he said the next day I could feel a noticeable improvement and then a few days later I was pain free. :krs:

What was your pain level at before and after surgery from 1-10? :lupe:

How many shots did you get or do you have to get? :lupe:

I would have my days were the pain is a fking 100 anymore pain and I am sure you would pass out. The day I went in I was heavy medicated and the pain was very manageable.

it was more of a procedure than a surgery but all I needed was one shot. They say this procedure is mostly temporary and last a few months at a time and may need up to 3 procedures before it works completely. I swear to god bro it only took 1 for me and I was healed! God is good! It’s been about 2 years.

My shyt just started hurting outta no where 2 days ago.

So much so that I had to leave work and it hurts when I burp, cough, laugh, yawn, etc.

shyt is crazy.

Who tf am I supposed to see about this? MRI? Regular doc? ER?

I gotta heat pad but I don't think it's a muscle cramp or the pain would've been gone by now. I took some 800mg shyt my girl gave me but I still feel the pain:damn:

You probably sprained or tore your intercostal muscles. Look up the symptoms, but this sounds like it. Youll be fine, 3 week recovery.

I injured mine twice in the past month. Hurts to breathe alot but we gotta keep lifting

.
If it's muscle pain google back stretches to target that area, if it still hurts get a MRI.

It's Spinal then hit up a chiropractor.

Three weeks ago I had a sudden sharp pain in my lower back out of nowhere.

I had to call medical and got referred to my local doctor who put on some powerful painkillers.

I just had to do some stretching exercises and wait for it to heal. My sitting posture wasn't always the best so no doubt that played a part in it. I bought an ergonomic chair which has helped.

It hasn't totally gotten away yet but its better than what it was.

I made a thread about back pain before but do these exercises in this video

I used to have major back pain to the point that I thought that I wouldn't be able to workout ever again. Once I started these movements my back felt brand new and stronger. Trust me kn this, I have some of my clients doing this and they are walking better than ever

Go see your doctor to find out the root cause of your pain. I used to have severe lower back pain. But once I started physical therapy and continued doing yoga like stretches daily, as well as using a lumbar roll when I’m sitting down at work, my pain decreased a lot. It’s still present, but it’s very manageable. This is coming from a person who used to struggle driving more than 30 minutes at a time, or sitting and laying down in certain positions due to lower back pain.

Great thread. I had a couple of instances the past few years that freaked me out.

Most recently about a month ago, I was on my laptop all day without getting up from the same spot. It sits on my coffee table but I was sitting on the carpet while using it on my living room .

When I went to get up, the sciatic nerve flared up so much that I could barely stand up. Like I needed a cane. I couldn't sleep at all that night . Hell, it took me 20 minutes just to get out of the bed to use the restroom. Thankfully I knew about the nerve stretches cause I had some soreness at that same area in the past and those took away the pain easy. This pain however lasted two days :mjcry:

I have thick calves and glutes contributed from decades of running. So I drive a lot a pressure to that region . I believe that I went for a morning run before getting on my laptop that day so that probably triggered things.

Going to invest in a computer chair or one of those racing gaming chairs while doing more yoga. As long as I don't do any more uncomfortable sitting styles for hours at a time, I should be OK.

I have back pain all the time.

I have these knots in my lower back that's always there.

Just something I've dealt with since hurting it 13 yrs ago.

Even with it I've been able to hit PRs on the Deadlift 485 and the Squat 365.

Current day I dont lift much, but I do BJJ.

A TENS Unit helps with the pain.

I actually tape it to my back and sleep with it on after hard rolls.
