How fast can you run/jog a mile? I just did my first sub-15 minute mile.

On some real shyt… I hate and love running…. I used to rather do sprints… but the 3 to 4 years I was committed to running 3 miles 3 days a week had my brain performing in uber peak mode…. I’ve always lifted weights or did some form of cardio which is great for your brain no doubt, but something about putting foot to the earth for extended periods of time was something different, in a good way

I’ve been in the gym for about 15 years consistently. It wasn’t until I started implementing running into my routine that it changed my life. Starting my morning off with a run is my cheat code. I am a better version of myself anytime..and I mean anytime I knock out a run where I push myself.

It’s to the point I can’t stop because I know what it does for me.

The average 35 year old runs nearly a 10 minute mile. That sounds insane to me at 37 years old. We don't need gym class we need boot camp in America. :russ:

I don’t disagree… but if you pulled twenty 35 year olds out of anywhere, USA…. 70 percent of them are not running a ten minute mile…. I promise you..

I just hit a 14:30 mile brehs :blessed:

Aiming for under 12 minutes next and then 10 minutes :wow:
Bruh, that's slower than the walking PT test for the Army. :russ:

But seriously good on you to get moving. Got to start somewhere. Just keep going, it will get much better pretty fast.

A casual walk is a 20 min mile.

Really humping it you can walk a mile in 15 min.

I had to give up running cause my joints started talking to me but I was around 9 min

I don't really run like that anymore, my mile time now is around 7-8 minutes depending on how serious I'm taking it. Best mile time in high school was sub 4:30 but I hated the mile, track in general. I only did it to get faster for cross country/basketball.

If I really tried I could probably run a 9 minute mile, but I'd be gasping for breath afterwards :yeshrug: and I've never weighed over 165 or so

Cardio has never really been my strong suit. My knees/legs are fine but I'm out of breath too soon.
