How is Wale's new album only projected to sell only 23k-27k? What is he doing wrong?

I thought his hit single "On Chill" would help tremendously with his streaming numbers. Also thought old songs like Black Bonnie and Poledance with Megan Thee Stallion would boost the sales too. Why isn't his music connecting with the Hip Hop audience today? I swear I thought he was guaranteed to do 100k+ with this album. Whole industry was praising this album on Friday and he was getting praised on Twitter by fans but the sales don't seem to back it up. As a fan of Wale I hate seeing these numbers because I know deep down he's seeing these projections.

Hitmaka didn’t produce On Chill it was LT Moe, & Wale always has a hit lead single throughout his history with various producers.

You right but Hitmaka said on Hot 97 that he had something to do with it. I forgot exactly what he said he did on it but Hitmaka, Jeremih and Ty Dolla Sign are basically a production/writing team.

Women ain't trying to hear that mush mouth stuff.. Which would be fine if the beat and hook kept their attention like mumble rap.... it doesn't usually. But when you get him on someone else's mumble rap (no hands), or he slows down and raps to the women (lotus flower bomb), it works to perfection

Dude you expressed my feelings to perfection. For me I don't listen to wale cuz alot of times I can't really understand him. It's not super bad but the only three commercial songs I felt where his delivert and tone were pitch perfect were lotus flower bomb, no hands (he was perfect right here, and it shows cuz every one raps his verse to this day) and maybe bad.

I can't explain how I hear wale, like it's not a total mumble, but it's just an incoherent delivery sometimes. It's not clear like a Drake or jcole. It's like I know he spits clever shyt, he just doesn't enunciate it enough. But when he does and it's over a dope beat, he's a1.
