How is Wale's new album only projected to sell only 23k-27k? What is he doing wrong?

Why are nikkas talking him being “like able” the fukk does that have to do with music? Sound like y’all trying to date that man or something :dahell:
That on chill song doing numbers so he’s straight regardless
Right.. there’s plenty of unlikable artist in the industry. Wale hasn’t done anything to have people questioning his character like that.

people just pick and choose who they want to attack and pick on.

Another what is so and so doing wrong thread. Like any of you know. Somebody not selling doesn't automatically mean there has to be something wrong.

Wale is confusing from a marketing perspective. One hand he's the poetic rapper, then he drops singles with no poetic flow whatsoever. On the other hand, he wants to be loved and respected like Meek so he drops a MMG song trying to appeal to a different demographic. Seems confused on what direction he wants to go. So the masses cant relate to him. Even if his album has a few good songs.

Look at his album title, it's like he's trying too hard to stand out.

J.Cole - College route -> mental health -> finding yourself
Kendrick - West Coast's new hope -> Best Mainstream lyricist -> Pro black MC -> (I'm not sure where next)
Drake - Takes his audience into a different route/wave every 18 months

Wale/ Big Sean - ?

Album will almost certainly go gold eventually, based off the hit single. Remember, past single sales don't count towards first week total but will be counted towards overall sales in the end (certifications).

Wale never really had a dedicated fanbase but the bigger issue is that the fans Wale does have are majority black. White people aren't checking for him or buying his music like that...and you cannot sell without white people buying your shyt. Nicki Minaj is learning this lesson now...when white people move on to the new thing, you're left with your loyalist black and brown fans and they can't carry you to 100k first week sales. Rick Ross too. I suspect Big Sean gonna learn it too if his album ever comes out.

I think Wale is a rapper who took Pac's "make music for the bytches and the nikkas will follow" too literal. If he had a singles like "bytch Don't Kill My Vibe", "DNA", "0-100", "Started From The Bottom", "Middle Child", "Guap", "Blessings", shyt would be a lot different.
