How is Wale's new album only projected to sell only 23k-27k? What is he doing wrong?

I think Wale is a rapper who took Pac's "make music for the bytches and the nikkas will follow" too literal. If he had a singles like "bytch Don't Kill My Vibe", "DNA", "0-100", "Started From The Bottom", "Middle Child", "Guap", "Blessings", shyt would be a lot different.
The thing that pisses us fans off is he has those songs and doesnt use them :snoop:
Shine had Mathematics, Scarface/Rozay/Gotti, even had a Chris Brown feature he somehow didnt turn into a single
Wow... has a posse cut with all 3 on the track for the first time in forever. That should have been the lead single and drove all the hip-hop heads to his album but he didnt use it to lead. Every interview would have been asking him about them reuniting for his album but he now has to answer questions about his light skin gf and anxiety. Nothing about the album... lol. On Chill would have been a perfect second single for the fall and still would have went platinum.

Long story short, they know their fans primarily stream so they don't even bother pressing up physical copies. 75% of how music is consumed comes from streaming.

A Boogie went #1 and sold 823 copies

“Streaming took over sales,” A Boogie says with a huge smile. “Anybody in this era right now is always going to do more streaming than sales. What I look at like? fukk sales. We don’t even have any real CDs out.”

He doesn’t dumb down/pander his music for sales.

Album wasn’t bad at all.

are you somehow claiming Wale music goes over people’s head?

Wale's been too inactive and has tarnished his image pretty bad over the years so not surprised.

inactive?

I think he released 3 projects last year

My bigger question is who is Lil TJay?:flabbynsick:

the new king of NY

I don't believe Wale is anywhere near as good as he believes or alot of hiphop heads believe he is.

I think this is majority opinion in rap

Never understood why anyone was a fan in the first place, from the jump sounded like a weed plate impersonation of Little Brother and was immediately disinterested.

Nope. I’m claiming he doesn’t ride waves just to be hot/relevant.

he was always a boring artist to me never really got into him seems like he makes a good amount of hits but they don't seem to really make moves chart wise.
