That's something that bugs me about the private sector, folks and the companies will get secretive real quick when discussing salaries during the job search and interview process or just in general. Meanwhile the gov tells you up front what your salary range is gonna be from the jump.

Why companies so damn hush hush about them salaries?
So they can underpay your ass. They will have a budget for 75k, you go in there asking for $55k thinking you’re doing something. Meanwhile, the white person asking for 82k. They will take what they are shorting you and pay them.

i played the corporate game for almost 15 years after school. i had a nice run but i got tired of all the bullshyt and politics and threw in the towel. for the last few years i've been working in my family business just focusing on growth and succession planning. it's not the same money but i don't deal with the charades and masquerading any more. :manny:

I want to make more money. I got so many ideas on how to but haven't taken that leap of faith

@HarlemHottie
It's funny you mentioned me itt cuz we just about to make a move that will enable me to work on some personal projects/ side hustles. A cramped nyc apartment is no place to concentrate, write, plan, etc.

This Kind Of Thinking Is Why Most People Dont Elevate In Life, I Don’t Even Mean Career Wise I’m Talking The Kind Of Mentality It Takes To Think This Way

As long as you get a good job to service the debt, it’s worth it. Generally you pay $100 a month for each $10K you take out in loans if you’re paying it off in 10 years. So making $100,000 with $55K loans is roughly $7,000 a year in payments which is equivalent to just making $93,000. That’s a good deal.

I'm in online business and I used to make about 250k but I'm having a terrible year this year and will probably make about 90-100k this year, which sucks when looked at in perspective. I recognized that things would be bad really early(my biggest client was acting up) so by March I had already cut down on my costs big time. I live in an African country, so I'm still out here living like a king despite the cuts. Should be back on track by the end of the year though

Keep pushing brotha. You did once. You can do it again. 100k still is a great salary anyway.

Not gon read the thread but OP when you hit that $22 hourly mark you’ll realize that it’s still not that much money

You right. I need to make at least $60,000 if I wanna save. Living up north ain't cheap. 1 bedrooms go for $1,000 easy:francis:

1st Round Playoff Exits
I was actually thinking about getting into some nba analytics stuff:ehh:

Those jobs don't make nearly what I do now though:francis:

Probably going to do some stuff part time and see how it goes:ehh:
I mean are you hurting for cash though....

What's more important a job you love or making 6+ figures being miserable.

Plus you can always do temp or part time work during the day or offseason....
