Not that I pay super close attention, but most new guys in the gym can't even bench 135.
The average man that isn't a gym breh probably can't even get 135 up.

You see it, I see it, whenever new dudes step in and they get humbled on their first days.
225 he says....have u been outside :russ:

Bunch of skinny fat and super fat dudes out here and some are thinking they could throw up 225 today. :mjlol:

I love these threads. Shows just how ignorant most people on here are. The average man has no idea how to lift and would probably kill themselves trying to unrack 225 :laff: :laff: :laff: :laff: :laff:

You see it too, my friend.

:flabbynsick: coli brehs couldn't even make it one page without veering off topic: grappling, cardio, choppas, striking, MMA, pull-ups, push-ups, and all other sorts of irrelevant bullshyt came out the woodwork like roaches when the lights on.

The average dude off the street is not putting up 225 TnG, much less paused on the chest like a real bench press, even once. For the average gym going dude, 225 is not impressive (it is only on the coli); 315 is where you start getting gym clout.

According to symmetricstrength.com, the dude that's never touched weights before could put up 160 once if you dragged him off the streets, assuming he weighs at least the average of about 199 pounds. Again, the average untrained cat can't even bench their own bodyweight once.

Anyone who said 315 is delusional; the average bodyweight dude putting up 315 once has a strength score of 89, which makes them one of the strongest folks in your average commercial gym. There's prolly less than 50 coli posters that could post verified receipts of them pushing three plates. Four plates is so rare irl outside of powerlifting circles it's not even worth mentioning. (One coli breh said they could move 405 just off of push-ups alone; this was years ago, the receipt still hasn't finished loading yet. :troll: )

@colicolicoli Instead of making this pointless thread since 90% of folks on this board don't even have a gym membership, you could have asked what they as men bench, but that woulda led to ducktales and we tried doing a bench receipts thread before and not even the Oh Pee posted one so oh well. :unimpressed:

Ya girl. Then ya mom and/or dad for caregivers purposes.

I measure strength in physically moving loved ones and getting stronger accordingly. So picking them up....not benching.

Reading comprehension is key. :francis:

  • 225 ain't shyt in the gym; only on the coli do I see folks on some "I just benched 225 lemme make a thread about it! :gladbron:". Putting up 225 in an actual gym is :unimpressed: ; benching 315+ is when dudes (and some broads) take notice.

  • The average man outside the gym is benching like 160 for a 1RM; there's no way, like some folks ITT said, the average male should be able to bench 315 when not even most experienced gym dudes are touching that.

That clear shyt up for you? I wouldn't want you to miss your flight to New Yawk. @xXMASHERXx

My reading comprehension is assured to be much higher than yours.

You are double speaking. Using the top tier of a small percentage within a small percentage of the population doesn't lend to the idea of the numbers you're citing being unimpressive.

If the average man is maxing at 160, 225 is notable. Nobody is gonna be convulsing over seeing a 225 bench in a normal gym but it's respected. Why? Because many people still aren't doing it, especially for reps. Admitting experienced lifters aren't touching 315 further proves this.

Nobody should be running exclusively to make a thread about anyone else's numbers in the gym unless it's freakish numbers or a a possible record.

And I don't need to fly to a city that I'm 30 minutes away from.

There's a reason coli brehs tag me into lifting threads. You, not so much. :russ:
