god i dont think i've been in like 10 years. now im too ashamed to go because i know they're gonna ask me this. went every 6 months all the rest of my life

I don't even blame people. Dental coverage / insurance in the US is garbage, which can make the treatment expensive. During my college years I had it rough, because I didn't have great coverage nor the money to fix cavities / tooth infections as they came up. I've spent thousands to get my teeth straight. I didn't actually know how to properly floss nor brush my teeth(like when and how often) until I was in my late 20's.

Also dental care / health is strongly linked to socioeconomic status:

Dental insurance for many is a luxury. Having great coverage from your employer is a luxury. A lot of people who don't make much can't "afford it".

Trust me, I get you on the bootstrapping of priorities, but many people feel like paying for dental insurance or going to the dentist when there is no pain, is a waste of time / money, until it's an emergency.

That's how Americans are. American's don't even want to take a vaccine for free, that lessens their symptoms to Covid19. American is very anti-preventive health.

Oh and I def ain't fukking with a broad like that.

man they got cleaning/exam deals at the dentist for $70 if you got no insurance. Sometimes dental schools at your local university will have free cleanings by students who are about to graduate.

My hygienist is kind mad that I cancelled twice on her but I ain't going back until I get a vaccine.
