Before I start this thread let me say that I DISLIKE football. It's not my favorite sport. I'm down with Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, and Volleyball.

Anyway, how would a BLACK owned football league do? Simply there would be rules where players would be protected from the amount of concussions that they receive. Also, this league would pay them a fair salary and not cheat them and teach them financial literacy. This league would NOT rival the NFL, but be an alternative in which Blacks would be invested in. Let's be honest, if most of these Black players left the NFL would be dry. The league is suffering financially and ratings wise. THIS is a good time to start a Black owned league. First off, create 20 teams. Hell, Virginia needs a team, so create one for Richmond and go from there. The sh-t would sell out fast.

P.S. Ice Cube has a basketball league 3on3 Basketball and Iverson came out of retirement. If done right by ALL Black owners and Black media moguls it could work.

Just imagine if this sh-t was announced New Years day and they signed Kaepernick to a team.

Trump has let it be known that he's a bigot and has let Blacks know that the NFL is a bigoted league. Just imagine video games from this Black owned league. This sh-t would be the WCW of football.

The goal of the league would be to reach into markets that the NFL hasn't and to draw in new fans. It would be a better alternative and story driven.

How would this be funded? You can't even get black actors and directors to fund black tv networks. Even Oprah can't afford to have Underground on her network because it costs too much.

If it'd be no different than a Black owned NFL, I wouldn't support it. We shouldn't support anything that literally destroys Black men.

Simply there would be rules where players would be protected from the amount of concussions that they receive.

A concussion is the result of your brain bumping-up against the inside of your skull -- there's nothing that can be done to protect players from them.

Also, this league would pay them a fair salary and not cheat them...

The minimum NFL salary is 500K, the average is 2.5million...they aren't being cheated financially. Some would argue that the NFL makes 12-billion a year, so 2.5 million is peanuts in comparison...but NFL rosters/staffs are enormous, so that pie has to get split in a lot of different directions.

The league is suffering financially and ratings wise.

I'll say it again...the NFL makes 12-Billion a year. So maybe with all the boycotts they'll only make 10-Billion from now on...hardly a cause for players to start abandoning the league.

P.S. Ice Cube has a basketball league 3on3 Basketball and Iverson came out of retirement. If done right by ALL Black owners and Black media moguls it could work.

Shoutout to Ice Cube, but nobody watched his 3-on-3 league. Interest was so low that the games weren't even broadcast live -- you had to wait a full day after the game was played to see it on TV.

Just imagine if this sh-t was announced New Years day and they signed Kaepernick to a team.

Kap wouldn't play in a second-tier league. He'll be on an NFL roster at some point this season once injuries start to leave teams without many options at quarterback.

To address your main question directly, a black owned football league would fail just like the XFL, USFL, CFL, & NFL-Europe all failed.
