I'm laughing at these oddball stories of phones dying months after getting it. My damn Nexus One from 2010 lasted two years and was fluid. The S2 was legit and was fluid. Only thing wrong was not enough storage...basically some IPhone type gay $hit. The S4 was great for a long time but it was time to switch to the Note 4 and that was one of the best ALL TIME phones in history. Blew away the IPhone with ease and won Phone of the Year. As did the Note 5.

Hey..if you want to defend the IPhone because you like it simple? Just say it instead of lying all the time.''

Talking about "Prem feel" and all of that stupid shyt but wasn't the last IPhone bending just by putting it in your pocket? WTF:laugh::laugh:
I hadn't seen anyone I know with the iPhone 6 get bent. Compared to most android phones, the phone does indeed look and feel premium, as well as the software.
Thing is about the iPhone, it can be simple, and it can also be advanced.

You're asking about the appeal of an iPhone?? the iPhone is one of the most consumer friendly tech out there on the market :dwillhuh: Aesthetics, simplicity, trendy, clean interface, kid friendly, consolidated customer service, fast, trailblazer in the industry that set the precedent for touch screen smartphones in the first place...

I'm on Droid and probably wouldn't switch back to iPhone though. Android and iPhone barely operate in the same market if you ask me. You don't just switch to Android without having a good reason for it. Android file transfer is far superior without all the bullshyt iTunes middleman sync shenanigans and everything is designed for transferring, storing, and sharing as opposed to just viewing. It handles documents and files in a way iOS can't. It's basically like a mini-computer which is important to someone like me who fukks around with music, photos, downloading, and files a lot. The freedom of being able to download album leaks and mp3 files straight from your phone browser :ahh: The freedom of wireless wi-fi file transferring with AirDroid :ahh: The freedom of not having to succumb to wack forced Apple services :ahh: The freedom of being able to just plug in your Droid and delete and add files from your computer with a couple clicks :ahh: Not to mention Google runs the world now so the connectivity with Google services is impeccable :yeshrug:

Apple's shyt is way sexier though, but I already got a Mac and iPad that I use frequently so I'm not really losing out on anything besides some gully emoji's and easier text convo's

This, you hit the nail on the head.

I don't keep files on my phone. I have a MyCloud. Cloud storage renders the argument about needing to put files on your phone useless. I take a picture with my iPhone and upload it to the WD MyCloud and it's there for all my devices to access.

Que??

1. You have to pay for a reliable and good Cloud service
2. Cloud means internet/wi-fi/4G, something you won't have or want to use all the time on your computer or phone
3. A cloud is yet another middleman that has its limitations and nuisances. I have a cloud for backup and storage, but I can't imagine accessing it frequently to obtain my files
3. My post wasn't about keeping files on the phone so much as using them. I download albums and open them directly on my phone, I drag and drop music from my computer into my Android folders without the use of some restricting app like iTunes, I transfer photos to and from my computer without iPhoto or whatever, etc. You can literally access your phone's system folders from both your Android and computer without dubious means, which is a massively efficient and useful capability that trumps cloud transfer any day of the week.

The MyCloud is just an external hard drive that plugs up to your router via Ethernet. In fact my Asus router also has a cloud program and you can use any external drive on that one.

I actually am ok using my iTunes to manage my music because I can sync my library across multiple devices. My Galaxy S7, iPad, iPhone 6s, iPod Nano, and PC all have the same music library with the same play counts and metadata and playlist on them. So even om my Galaxy S7 I use iTunes to sync my music so my playlist can stay the same on all my devices.

iPhone = The ultimate symbol of peer pressure:mjlol:
In my experience it's actually been the opposite. Android users pressure people into using it and iPhone users typically go "I like this better and I'm good with it." Many of these Android users have some sort of pent up hostility towards the iPhone and people liking it better. Most of the iPhone users I've encountered aren't really gonna sell you on the iPhone. They'll tell you they like the iPhone and the reasons why but that's usually as far as it goes.

Many Android users I encounter are always trying to sell other people on Android. They typically have this elitist attitude are constantly mocking iPhone users and calling them sheep or acting like something is wrong with them because they used a cell phone OS and prefer it.

Case and point this thread.

Half the people who have iPhones don't even know what the advantages are, Android users typically go on about their business.

There's a difference between someone talking about liking Apple and the iPhone better and trying to sell you on Apple and the iPhone and acting like you're crazy if you prefer Android.

Both platforms have their advantages and drawbacks. There's a tradeoff either way and I'm saying this as some one that likes both and uses both extensively. I prefer iPhone but I use my Android a bit too.
