cardio is proven to lower blood pressure

20-30 mins every other day, medium intensity and you're good

dont take those beta blockers, cardio is way more effective

they did clinical trials to compare beta blockers and cardio had a much better effect, plus no side effects along with all the other benefits that come with cardio. theres no reason not to do it

Have you changed your diet recently?

Have you been stressed out?

Any life changing events?
I could eat better but I'm not sloppy with it by no means.

No increase of stress or anything like that. I'm not as active as I'd like to be.

Well I'd just say everything everyone else has said. Also, get more sleep! I've been sleeping more and I check my pressure everyday at work. It's gone down and has stayed there. I've been eating better too.

It hit 138/87 today. Been noticing a few high readings the last two weeks. Higher than normal
just keep in mind that when measuring blood pressure it really isn't that big of a deal if you get readings that are higher than usual because even a small amount of anxiety can cause it to be high. You're blood pressure could easily be normal but since you're worried about it that little bit of anxiety spikes your bp

an even bigger effect happens at the dr. office. its called the white coat effect or white coat hypertension.

whats your resting heart rate, do you smoke or anything like that?

I volunteered with a cardiologist when i was younger and they say that unless you do cocaine or are obese you shouldnt even worry about your heart and circulatory system if you're younger than 40. So many people come in thinking something is wrong but every single one was experiencing anxiety or panick attack

but definitely do cardio because it is just too beneficial for every aspect of life. our bodies were designed for cardio we are the only animal on Earth that can run for long periods of time no other animal can run long distance besides humans :wow:

Damn another health thread in the tlr

Cardio cardio cardio. When I was a fat nikka I had blood pressure readings in the 155/95 range. Scary shyt.

When I started my cardio routines and working out in general I did it to lose weight and look good but the blood pressure benefits were stupid good. Like 105/68 good.

Tbh I don't really watch what I eat in terms of sodium but I do keep an eye on calorie intake. I'm definitely not above eating chips but I'm sure it would help as well. All in all I'm pretty sure the drop in body fat and cardio was what got me here.

My mom had high blood pressure too and pretty much lost the weight to get her shyt in check. She's 62 and really active now since she's retired. Before the weight loss she took blood pressure meds and while they were effective in keeping her blood pressure down they made her cough all the damn time (I think it's a common side effect with a lot of them).

Because me and moms are both on that wave thanks giving is alot blander these days. No more soul food but it was good while it lasted :francis:.
