I have that game. I thought it was pretty cool, but a bit gimmicky

"video game is learning me to murder" :dead:

"I'm Swedish, stop doing this against my will." :dead:

"I'm gonna be an American one day" *bang bang bang* :dead:

"You came here to get your ball? This is America bytch! I'm protecting my property" :dead:

Robaz is so full of quotables in all his videos :russ:

@Ciggavelli Im getting sick of waiting for my Oculus, so i think im going to cancel it and get the Vive as those units are currently availible. Before i do that i have a few questions:

1. The vive can do EVERYTHING the Rift does right, including playing all the games?
2. Is the vive that much more uncomfortable when compared to the Rift?
3. How often do you use full room tracking when gaming?

Thanks in advance

1. supposedly, but I'm not sure how long that will last
2. the Rift is lighter and more comfortable, but you can see a bit out where your nose goes, while the Vive doesn't have any spots were you see the outside world
3. I think the motion controllers are gimmicky. I much prefer to sit down and use an X1 controller. That's why I use my Rift more than my Vive. I have a shytload of Vive games, and I really only like a few. The motion controls can add immersion in some games, but they seem gimmicky to me still (like Wiimotes).

If the Vive continues to allow RIft support (and that's a big if), I'd say go with the Vive (best of both worlds), but if it doesn't, I'd go with the Rift (it has better games and is getting those exclusives, thanks to FB money)

Plus, with the Vive you gotta have space. It sounds like a plus, but it's really not. Rearranging your room, mounting base stations, and the like is annoying. Plus, if you wanna play a seated game, you gotta move your chair to where the base stations are located. With the Rift, the sensor stays in the middle of your desk and you can play a game like normal. I prefer the Rift over the Vive. :manny:

Also, I'm not sure why, but the Rift looks better than the Vive (it has the same resolution, so it makes no sense, but the Rift looks better in my opinion). The lenses in the Vive are also a little worse than the Rift (but they supposedly use the same lenses, so that makes no sense either). Looking with your eyes up and down the lenses doesn't result in any blurriness with the Rift, but it does with my Vive. It makes no sense, but that's my experience :manny:

Cool. I went ahead and cancelled my preorder for the Rift. I may hold off on the VR until version 2. It seems the Rift is more comfortable/user friendly. I have way too many electronics as it is and i know if i buy this i'll probably play if for a few weeks then throw it to the side.

Yeah, the resolution is a big letdown too. It's less than 1080p (more like 720p). Version 2.0 should have better resolutions, thanks to better GPUs. The screen door effect is real
