Yeah that brown/POC shyt is very gayI'm only speaking for myself. But I just want something of our own. Where we don't have to include every single minority. The phrase Black and Brown for example gets on my last nerve.
I think what Tariq is saying is SOME Africans undermine FBAs. And those individuals deserve to be named and shamed.
Yeah the bolded is why u will never see me disrespect the movementAs someone who considers themselves Pan African and absolutely HATES the tribalism between different black nationalities/ethnicities.
I have to say I don't think feeling like FBA's/ AA's wanting to have their own ethnic history and individuality is an unreasonable thing.
I love my African and Caribbean brothers and sisters, but y'all get to have it both ways:
You were born in America and immersed in African American culture as a black person
But then you get to go to cultural events and be "Nigerian" or "Jamaican" with your family and community.
Loud and proud during West Indian parades but get in your feeling when FBA's want to claim their own thing because y'all feel entitled to that as well
I hate tribalism and don't condone shyting on other black people for dumb reasons
But I see why my FBA brehs are frustrated.
We've been using African American as group name since the 80s I think. What's wrong with that name? It's the same shyt no?
That's what's problematic about the mixture of truth and pseudo intellectualism,Barack Obama is an African American but he's not an FBA. There's been an African American President, but there has never been an FBA President.
Black Americans who immigrate to other places (countries) also keep Black Americans traditions, and there is nothing wrong with that. It enriches the culture...As someone who considers themselves Pan African and absolutely HATES the tribalism between different black nationalities/ethnicities.

I don't consider Obama an African American. He's black, but not AA. Since the 80s the term AA has been in reference to black Americans with linage from American Chattel Slavery. Obama is a Kenyan-American who is black.Barack Obama is an African American but he's not an FBA. There's been an African American President, but there has never been an FBA President.
Irony, the only connection the first African American President has to the Transatlantic Slave Trade was his slave owning forefathers.
I already posted about the difference in Black vs African American. African Americans are those who descent from cattle slavery in the Northern part of America. Black means everyone who is a descendant of "sub Sahara Africa".I don't consider Obama an African American. He's black, but not AA. Since the 80s the term AA has been in reference to black Americans with linage from American Chattel Slavery. Obama is a Kenyan-American who is black.
Now if we're trying to change the ethnic group name from African American to FBA, then whatever that's cool.
It’s somewhat in the middle. He sells a product and people buy it. No problem.
The funny part is that he crowdfunds the projects people donate to, and he sells that same product back to the people who donated.
Usually when you donate to a crowdfund you also purchase the product. That the protocol.
Also, a few years back he spread the lie that Ethiopians hate Black Americans.
Here is a Black American woman in Ethiopia being welcomed.
The coon part is that he lies to a bunch of uneducated people, who take everything he says seriously.
Yeah I get your point and I never considered him one either, but we can't deny that it's popularly accepted that he's African American. He's literally the last image you see in the Museum of African American history in DC. Hence why FBA is necessary. Better to just create a new term that specifically states who we are and get rid of any ambiguityI don't consider Obama an African American. He's black, but not AA. The hate ados and fba get on this site is very strange. Not surprising but strange.
Not even just this thread. I see little jabs and strays thrown all the time towards ados or fba on this forum. They pretend it's just at tarik. Completely acceptable and when we retaliate we bushed. Very white people like behavior. but like i said not surprised. If you read through the thread, you'll notice, for the most part, that ADOS/FBA aren't really starting anything. These non-ADOS/FBA people say slick/insulting things, then cry foul.
Even with Tariq Nasheed, I was taking other people at their words until I decided to listen to a few of his streams. He tends to only respond to insult/attacks, he doesn't (or didn't) start it.
I disagree with his lackluster political takes but a lot of these anti-ADOS/FBA people tend to instigate conflict then use gaslighting tactics to get people to believe they were the ones being bullied when they weren't.
Just because Marcus Sander said so doesn't mean it's true, or is he your almighty god?
