I think it's corny also. BUT females immediately know "He making an attempt" - even if its a lame one. Like in Basketball you may have to attempt 20 shots to hit 10.

BUT also I'm one of the men on here that admit, I let females choose me. I make small talk, and let them come on to me. My confidence wasn't as shaky as yours tho. My wife and exwife, and long term sidechicks... all choose me. The ones I spit game at 1st and win, typically were 3-4 week flings or jumpoffs, cuz I feel like I had to entertain them, or get them to notice me. The ones who wanted me from the start have always been deeper relationships.

What ever transition works for you, start thinking how to turn the subject into (can I get your #, What you doing later, I'm off at such and such a time are you free, if not today maybe Friday or Saturday).

99% - She was just being friendly
