My advice

Start off going hard in the paint.

Assess the landscape first though. See how these people work, see if its fast paced or laid back.

Once you learn the details of your job, assess where they are lacking and where you can fit in or assist. Not only does it show initiative, it shows you are a team player even if you are not a chatterbox.

Eventually, maybe a year or 2, you will get in a flow state or be elevated to something else where you have to do it again.
