So OP is mad that players arent taught post moves anymore....thats what i got out of this.
Most players are drilled 90% perimeter based skills.....it is what it is

I remember there was a time in game with practices.... when not doing the full unit TEAM PRACTICES.
In the inbetween moments, coaching staff would spit up the big men from the guards and have them work on specific things for their skill set.
Guards work on dribbling, agility driven moves, long range shooting, etc.
Bigs worked on post moves, hook shots, power steps, rebounding & taken it back up, etc.
Hell I remembered my coaches didn’t even want me or my other Centers & PFs to take any shot deeper than 12ft out and to never put the ball on the ground. If you couldn’t take one power dribble and get to the rim and score, you too far out and need to pass the ball to a guard.
The game has just evolved and the necessary skill sets to be a complete player or even good have changed
