Most nikkas I know in real life was super disappointed in it. My wife literally had my youngest son and we was still in the hospital when it dropped and I remember the shyt like it was yesterday bumpin it in the middle of the night while she was sleeping and feeling mad disappointed. Only for a few of my nikkas to call and say the same shyt.

I feel like to pimp a butterfly should of been made late in his career. Not his second official album, especially after GKMC

Actually he dropped Control and this was the first album he released after that verse. Which was about 4 or 5 months before the album dropped. Thing is. The album wasn’t even supposed to be about what it was. He made this album because of a conversation he had with Cole on a flight about everything that was goin on such as Mike Brown etc and Cole basically being on the front lines. Protesting, doing performances like “Be Free” etc etc.

There's like a 2 year/1 and a half year difference between control and TPAB. Control was closer to the release of GKMC than it was TPAB.

I do believe that K dot was influenced by the Be Free performance because his live i performance was basically in that same light. 2 songs that sounded mediocre on wax but became immortalized by the passion and artistry of the live performances.

That's a damn lie, at least on here. You go into any random Lupe thread and y'all Stanleys are throwing shots at Kendrick. Any nikka can go into that Drogas or Tetsuo thread and see it themselves.

And you can go into older J Cole & Drake album threads and see the same thing. Dawg I’ve seen them go back n forth, it’s not no grand conspiracy of Lupe’s diminished fan base tryna undermine K Dot. nikkas just speaking their minds

Just like you can go into Kendrick album threads and see goofy theories, and nerd nikkas reaching while deciphering lyrics & concepts that really ain’t that deep like you see in Lupe threads.
