Been riding since '97, been working at a Honda/Harley dealership since 2000. Definitely about that bike life. Current bike is a '98 Honda SuperHawk 996 with 61K on it, bought it back in '01 with 3,500 miles.

Really eyeing that Yamaha FZ09. Super car acceleration, 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, for dirt cheap; $8k new. Been meaning to get into riding for the longest and that just might be my ticket
For your first bike?

Yea that shyt will leave you behind on the highway

Plus buying a brand new bike for your first bike =

Lot of people have those big new first bike dreams but insurance usually brings em back to life *snap* back to reality... back to the here and now again

Start small.... get an old Ninja 500 or Suzuki GS500, perfect starters.

It was the first vtwin sport I rode, bought it 3 months after that. Rolling the Pilot Power 2CT's, some of the best tires I've had. Next bike will be the RC51 "05/06 years, put 300 miles on a used one for the weekend, nothing like it, torque monster, superbike handling. Only thing close is a few Ducati's.

This. I remember young guys wanting to finance CBR929RR's and CBR1000RR's, I tell them get the insurance quote FIRST, you may be able to afford the payment, the insurance can be insane on any 600cc and up sportbike. Those same guys came back with quotes of $6,500-$7,500/yr for insurance.[DOUBLEPOST=1397346261][/DOUBLEPOST]Taken last summer............

Slick. I haven't done track days in awhile, I miss it, nothing like getting out there and dragging some pegs and knee sliders through the corners.
