My father from the time I was a child never allowed us to believe in no white Jesus.

He taught us the history of our heritage and broke down how Christianity was used as a tool to subjugate our people and keep us enslaved.

Probably the best cinematic portrayal of the evils of Christianity is in the movie Sankofa, which my father first showed me when I was 10.

That movie was really all I needed to see to know that the very concept of Christianity is compete and utter bullshyt.

I belive in God...just not Christianity. My parents are religious hyprocrites. Spend the majority of their time watching christian related things, going to church, etc...but none of the supposed fruits of the spirit are reflected by them. my main reason for not being Christian though... is the lack of historicity to back up the bibles claims.

I've only been to church twice and both times I was forced.

Most brothers out there ain't gonna admit that they don't believe. You know how many bad b***es go to church and "require" a man to be a believer. It's easier to keep your mouth shut about it than keep it 100.

Personally, I'm more of an agnostic. I feel there could be some spirit or life force that is guiding all this, but the hell if I know what it is. But If some big booty southern Christian chick ask me about it, I'm a believer.

We don't advertise it. It's really not that serious to most of us. As one poster already mentioned, how many black men are in church in large numbers that aren't homosexuals? Many of these kats are atheist or agnostic and don't even know it.
