You bought the console. you bought the game, you plugged everything up. you put the game in and you started playing. the most you would have to do is by a memory card or some shyt like that.
you didn't have to worry about connecting to no type of network. If you wanted to play against someone else you would invite a friend over or go to their crib. you didn't watch movies or do other random shyt like that. More importantly.... it wasn't a major investment.
I feel you on a lot of this shyt but you don't have anywhere near the problems as me and other Caribbean cats who don't got the proper Internet speeds to keep up with this 'Always be connected' shyt that these games is going in nowadays.
One of the many reasons I'm glad I'm off of shyt like Destiny is the minute my connection dropped too low,

Plus a lot of these games you download riddled with bullshyt license and DRM issues that require me to be online to play the full version or else it will revert to the DEMO version. It's fukked, but you've the resources to cope, man be thankful for that atleast.
