Uh... every job I've had has a demographics section so they can document it for Equal Employment purposes. How many job applications have you filled out and for what?

sounds like you work in a field where they've had heavy discrimination in the past or government related. those are the only few exceptions i know of that are allowed to use affirmative action in hiring.
affirmative action is not the same as the voluntary section you don't have to submit. if people are filing out that section and having issues, they may not be the smartest hire lol

No app for a job outside of that portion will ask you for race so this is most likely what everyone is referring to.

Before she get the job and after submitting an application (the recruiter has to respond to the application prior to setting up the interview) changing your race on the job app mitigates the issue of not getting application response....not sure why you're acting slow
