i have always paid for the first date. shyt, if i'm being real i usually pay for all the dates until i get to a real relationship stage with someone (at which point, i think investment in our financial outlook is a shared responsibility, and "who pays for dinner" expectations are dumb).

to be fair though, this is probably because i've never dated someone bold enough to tell me i SHOULD pay. lol. i've had conversations with women like that, but that's an automatic "kick rocks" moment for me.... which probably sounds backwards. but a woman being open-minded and allowing me to show her who i am, with my actions, is important for me.

someone i don't know telling me what i should be doing with my money? fukk outta here. but that's what works for me.

This is pretty much how I feel. I pay for the dates, but the women im with gonna at least try to pay something even if its finesse. No woman would dare insist I pay.

The exception to.this is if both of you make a lot of money and that's genuinely the type of place she usually goes to. 9/10 times it's not though.

she was a nurse so maybe shes used to that life. I forgot to mention I said we should meet up sometime to setup a date like I say that she says ok cool what did you have in mind? Instead she says I am free tomorrow at 7 and this is my favorite place. this bytch was super egregious.

The money isn't the issue even if I was a millionaire I wouldn't take her there on the first date. Huge red flag for a bytch to do what she did. she was bad as shyt but being bad as shyt don't mean anything if they are a headache.

This girl I'm dating now on the first date the bill came and I said you got this right? I was just joking to see her reaction and she was cool about it so that's a green flag to me.
