This is true flat out P was a better MC, better lyricist and one of the illest flows/voice/deliveries of All-Time. Cube don't got a verse like Apostle's Warning, Shook Ones, Survival of the Fittest, Hell On Earth in his catalog. P one of the most sampled/quoted rappers ever for a reason.

Prodigy and Mobb Deep's music sounds better today lets be honest Cube's shyt sounds a bit dated today. :manny:
:camby: you obviously haven't heard too many cube songs.

I stanned Cube the way a 12 year old Stan's an athlete. My pre teen/early teen years I'd say Cube & Darryl Strawberry probably meant as much to me as any celebrity, ever.

That said, Prodigy easily. Cube has possibly the single most shameful fall off of all time under his belt. I realize Prodigy fell off too but I love the last 7 or so years of Post Apocalypse P's output.

Cube is a metaphor for shattered dreams and naïveté to me at this point.

When do you feel Cube fell off? I felt he fell off strong too.

It's definitely close though...P is better but Cube was a beast.

I bumped Cube & still do. Nappy Dugout, True to the Game, & You Know How We Do It are some favorites. I just feel Cube gets a overrated as an emcee because he ventured outside of hip hop & received way more main stream attention than P will ever do. He's pretty much the recognizable face of NWA in the mainstream even though lyrically I thought MC Ren was a little better than him. As @The Ruler 09 said his style was pretty basic & simple but you felt his delivery. But I'll stand by my comments that as an emcee & lyrically P was a lot better than him.

Yep, I agree with this. I feel he gets overrated too because he's a superstar. He's a great actor, I rate him as an actor. And he's a dope rapper, but I don't have him in a top 20. Though I can understand why someone would. But when I'm listening to these two albums back to back I'm understanding more and more why I feel the way I do. P and Havoc are spittin much better, lyrically, flows, rhymes, everything. My heads bumpin to the Mobb shyt, it's an easy effortless listen, Cube's shyt is so much slower and more simple. It lacks replay value to me, I'm not expecting hugely complex, cause Mobb aren't but Cube is a a very a, b, c rapper, I remember even Kool Moe Dee said who rates Cube that Cube's weakness is he's too simple and direct and lacks metaphors. Cube is more complex than some of these simple wack rappers today, but when you compare him to the greats he comes up lacking to me. Infamous aged so much better to me considering it's only a few years gap. Cube could technically rap, but he wasn't the greatest MC, someone like KRS, Rakim, Kane and others could rap circles round him and those are kind of his peers since they all came out in the 80's first.
