oh my god bubba sparxx lmao now i know i done heard it all motherfukk said bubba sparxx

Deliverance was a pretty dope album :yeshrug:

Im not a Em fan, but this is just ridculous.

Its one thing to not like someone, but you totally discrediting his career.

It's not discrediting his career when majority of his career was known as troll rap. Ok, I'll take back some of the hyperbole...The Eminem Show was probably his best piece of work, but majority of his albums were mostly missed than hit. I can't even go back to MMLP without feeling embarrassed that dudes used to bump that shyt. It aged terribly.

LOL.....will u look at this thread?? Do u not see the Em hate?? If Em gets hated on by those who say u should have your Hip Hop pass revoked if u rank Em highly.......then why are u complaining that he has a strong white fan base who isnt focused on such bullshyt?? :heh:

"Oh they dont love u over there...dont worry bro..we got u"

You dont want him but u complain when a bunch of other people want what u dont. :russ:

:what:I specifically said Whites luv familiar faces on Black music which is why I think hes overrated and has gotten a pass for a lot of trash music.

The fact that he jacked Reds style and Red gets no credit is proof of what I'm saying

This guy is so overrated Man lol

and his music has aged horribly. go listen to that slim shady junk now and you'd probably laugh at yourself for liking such corny, gimmicky music.

dude dope as a MC but his catalog is do-do. he a true product of the machine. he dont got any classic albums. so if you got EM in your top5, then hand us that card and exit left swiftly.

We were kids back then so it was lit when it came out... No reason you should use your 25+ year old ears for it

Even if you don't like him ... he made Fif pop and by proxy G-Unit and The Game etc.....

yikes,em could rap circles around all of them

His album making skills leave a lot to be desired compared to other rappers in the usual top 5. Being a top 5 rapper imo doesn't JUST mean you can spit you have to excel in every part of MCing which includes albums, performance, etc

But Em's peak was never as high as Ice Cube, Rakim or Tribe etc anyway

:what:

this is a sad case of denial right here.

if anything they all had strong impacts on the decades they were popping.......i dont believe anything u saying right now.....When 8 Mile dropped pretty much all of hip hop had to acknowledge it yet u say Ems peak wasn't equal?:camby:

none of those rappers u mentioned had a protege who piggybacked on their fame and became just as big. None of them. Yo Yo only went but so far with Cube.

1) I dont hear Redmans style anywhere....I listen to Stan...i dont hear Redman...I listen to RapGod....I dont hear Redman. Maybe if u said his earlier style was reminiscent of early Canibus i'd take the bait....but u didnt so i dont belive u

I dont here anything related to Redman in this song....just two dope mcs who had great chemistry on a beat.

2) your argument about whites loving Black music doesn't explain why Lil B gets overrated love from white folks yet he's super trash. So again...I don't believe you.

8 Mile was a soundtrack and he only had a few songs on there himself. Had he gone and made an album as the soundtrack maybe we could talk. Em doesn't have any albums that compare to the BEST from Cube or Tribe for example. If he had one undeniable classic album in the way that Cube has DC or Nas has Illmatic then he could be in contention but just the fact that he hand made that type of album (and I think he is/was capable) I think that alone leaves him out of top 5 convo. Not to mention things like subject matter and all that other stuff. Em is revered for the way he puts his rhymes together and if that's your criteria then He's high on the list but if you're talking overall top MCs then I don't think he belongs in convos with Rakim etc.

I got off on this tangent because dude said Em has 3 classic albums but De La doesn't :rudy: none of the other artists such as Redman mentioned in the thread didn't have 3 classics or even 1 but Em has 3!? FOH

Wc and Mack 10 for Cube too. But yeah he is in denial. I feel like Eminem sold more than both of them
