depends on how you view God from reading the OT
if you view him as a person like yourself (a projection) then everything wrong you see in him is what you perceive...but if you dont perceive those things then the projection you have changes
the question is this...is it up to man or god to define mans perception?
IE a short story:
you got a friend who when you met him was on even keel and everything is peachy...then hard times hit and you are doing well and he is struggling and blaming everything and everyone for his bad circumstance
you come to him and offer him advice out of his rut, but instead of taking your advice, he admonishes you and rants that no one understands his perspective and blames everyone and everything that he surmises got him there.
Is the problem that you don't understand his perspective..or that he is unwilling to question his own perspective?![]()
Bro, what possible reason could there be for me to not only willingly and genuinely love, but worship and an all knowin, all powerful, ever present being that created me (and I had no say in that) and will only save me from whatever evil and horrible conditions if I am subservient to him. Save me from evil and horrible conditions mind you, that HE ALSO CREATED.
Why should I not despise this being.
