If I'm by myself, and I'm out with a bunch of couples, I ain't splitting, because I didn't consume enough to make that fair. If I'm out with my wife and kids, and two of my single friends are there, I wouldn't expect them to split. If I have an appetizer, and you have lobster, don't ask me to split. These should be obvious, and simple rules of friendship.

I ain’t going lie it depends on the amount. That video that went viral the other day was a $4600 bill. Yeah ain’t no way I’m paying $300+ and I ain’t eat nothing close that.

if the bill less than a rack and all I gotta put up is 50-70 that’s cool but once you start getting into the triple digits I better have ate my fair share.

With my close circle we either split it even or one of us picks up the whole check. We all take turns so it evens out in the end. Coworkers or acquaintances naw I'll pay just my portion.

Because when you go out, one person is supposed to pay. Now if you’re going to The Red Lobster or TGI Friday’s, then split checks all you want. Otherwise, just work out the bill amongst your friends. No need to include the waiter.

I believe in this only if everybody is on board if one person ordered less, they should only pay for their stuff if they want. Some people have a budget they want/need to stick to I’m not gonna make them feel bad for it. If they ordered less they’re the only ones getting the short end of the stick because they’re paying for you for getting more stuff. What kind of friends/family gonna make someone feel bad about not thinking that’s fair.

If it's reasonable, I'll spit. As in my meal cost $40, I wouldn't care about paying $50-$70. That's not worth talking about. But if my meal cost $40, I'm not paying $125 because you ordered $200 worth of food. It's pure entitlement to expect that from people.
