Jackie Chan has a tremendous catalog of movies spanning 30 or 40 years.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is the inspiration for a lot of martial artists and actors.

In that sense, his impact could be viewed as larger than Bruce's.

But Bruce Lee ignited it all.

Jackie is Kobe to bruce's Jordan everybody else fighting to be lebron.

Nah bruce is dr j and Jackie is jordan. Jackie DOMINATED the industry where these other cats like Yen and Jet Li didnt really get seen as the premier talent until jackie decised to chill.

All because you light the flame doesnt mean you are the best.

Nas and J are better than all of the first gen of MCs.

The following is what Chappelle said about Pryor. But if you think of martial arts, the same sentiment applies to Bruce Lee.

Before jackie everyone wanted to be a bruce lee knock off. On top of that Jackie did stunts for Bruce ON TOP OF THAT Jackie added layers of emotion to martial arts film that bruce didnt do.

Bruce was one dimensional point blank.

Bruce will always have that "What IF" tag since he died young which always make him greater than he really was. Its the same with Biggie and Pac, Hendrix and Morrison, Len Bias and Drazen Petrovic. Honestly if Bruce were alive I still don't think he would've had Jackie Chan's catalog. Jackie has a lot of different talents behind the scene too. Writer/Director/Producer/Coordinator/...plus Jackie did his own stunts. Jackie was Bruce's stunt double, this nikka played him and Bruce. I ain't saying he was a better martial artist than Bruce (Jackie didn't make his own technique) but movie wise I think he surpassed him but Bruce will always have the "What IF" tag which will always give him a leg up in any argument
