If we discovered Aliens or if Aliens made contact with us, how would that impact our religions?

None of that is pointing to life on other planets though.
They only talk about earth, heavens (sky) and heaven (after life)

Maybe Aliens travel through dimensions to get where they want. Maybe the mother plane is one of those dimensions used for traveling

Yeah I'm agnostic I don't believe in any religion personally but my family does. As for aliens I think they exist it's just unlikely that many or any at all are advanced enough to travel such great distances.

SO the working definition of alien is being from another planet? Rather than being not of/from the earth. Idrc either but a argument definitely could be made for a lot of religious text concerning extraterrestrial beings.

This just reminded me according to mormon doctrine I think they do believe this verbatim. Jesus christ was put in control over this Earth. And if you follow their doctrine you can become your own intergalic diety. Mormom god lives on a planet called Kolob or something. Point still stands imo.
