You have to be stupid not to see what happened. Master P was telling nikkaz how to get paid and he str8 up said fukk the white man.. The white man then gave CMR 30m to sign a deal and they pushed the fukk out of it. How many albums on CMR were classics? :mjlol:They had decent albums... Juvenile carried them nikkaz til Wayne got old enough

no limit is directly responsible for cash money and the rise of the south in general.

It isn't stanning. How many eyes were actually on New Orleans Hip Hop or Louisiana as a whole before No Limit though? Mystikal was the biggest artist from there before either camp blew up. UNLV was still local. There was not a single artist from there who went platinum until No Limit blew up. Mystikal, who was the one who planted the flag, ended up signing with No Limit. Artists that no one had even heard of from Louisiana were consistently gold and platinum.

While CMR had a local buzz which eventually became regional, there wouldn't have been interest there from an industry standpoint had it not been for No Limit.

All On U Vol.1, Solja Rags, 400 Degreez, both Hot Boyz albums and How U Luv That Vol.2. are classics imo. And even the ones that aren't are more listenable today than 90% of the shyt No Limit put out. Cash Money music from 96-00 aged way better.

3rd verse

He in the yellow

He looks exactly like Young Choppa from Bad Boy's Da Band (who was also from NO?), holy shyt

Bulletproof as Lil Derrick returned to music/CMR in 2000, Baby put him in the group D-Boys alongside BG brother Hakim, Lac and Stone (all in the It's In Me vid too), but Derrick got in trouble again iirc and was on the outs shortly after, barely had any verse on a CMR album during this time. His verse here on Saturday Night sounds awful

hot much hot garbage did no limit start putting out in mid ‘99 when master p was too busy with other business ventures and artists weren’t getting paid any more?

no limit has some classics but they don’t have that many more over cmr. cmr’s output was stronger overall, there was a lot of bullshyt to sift through with no limit.

Hope this doesn't become another CMR vs NLR battle, but y'all have a point or two

Without NL and P blasting the greedy white devil on Tru 2 Da Game and Ghetto D, Baby n Slim wouldn't have gotten that 30 milly deal, that's a fact. The Williams bros. finessed their way with Universal, if only greedy dikkhead Baby would have paid his people (from the rappers to the producer to the engineers, marketing, A&R and entire staff) instead of building Stunner Island...he a straight bytchmade a$$hole for life
