You'd be shocked and amazed at how many immigrants game the system to get where they are:sas2:

People been low key exposed but nothing ever came from it because folks only make a thing when Black Americans are making a come up. I personally knew Asian folks that had relatives come over and get on public assistance to get welfare and save money to buy businesses while everyone is staying in the same house and working but having everything supplemented as well as using first time loans to buy property to make enclaves:sas2: one time somebody got exposed by a cashier at a store when they pulled up the amount an old grandpa had on an EBT card with like $3k on it, all types of mess like that goes on with Middle Eastern gas stations in the hood too but those dudes get busted from time to time cause they get greedy :sas1:

People ain't coming over here with no education the first thing they look for before getting here is where to get put on at:hubie:
I used to work at a DSS office. Immigrant couples would come in, both would claim to be unemployed. But the husband would be working somewhere under the table while the wife would come in and do mandatory job search so they could get temporary cash assistance, food stamps excetera.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
If a person has a debilitating disease and can’t hold a job due to it, is it that person’s fault?

If a person has the intelligence, but was never taught how to manage money and doesn’t have access to education on finances, is it that person’s fault?

If someone is stuck in a small town with no opportunities and can’t leave because they have family obligations, is it that person’s fault?

Blanket statements like this are pointless. There are too many variables that make it untrue.

1.) No - and stop being obtuse he isn’t talking about disabled people but funny enough there are some disabled people who figure it out. That’s enough to motivate anyone.

2.) So what if they never learned to manage money. You can be bad at money and still not be broke and that’s by simply having a good paying job or having a good skill that pays.

3.) Yea a lot of people in the Southern states have this mindset of staying in a small town with no opportunities and just accepting life as it is. Well that is a choice and that is definitely your fault. Many of the wealthy people you see in large cities aren’t natives lots of them came from small towns and saw their life being worth more than just working at family dollar for a living.

Eh. In a capitalist system there will always be winners and losers. The other thing is too most people their savings by getting sick. That is out of anyones control.

Most bankruptcies are from medical expenses, pray you don't learn that the hard way OP:stopitslime:

Some guys get a little money and start spouting platitudes.

OP better watch who he tries to preach that sort of logic to before he ends up on the nightly news as another statistic from some industrious individual applying his logic.

Depends on your age. Some people were dealt a difficult hand that even the most responsible person would struggle with, but I think after a certain age (say late 20s or early 30s) it is mostly your fault if you haven't grown in how you handle your finances or haven't made the necessary changes to make your situation better.

If you are an able bodied person, it is 100% your fault if you're broke

The System definitely exists. But to the notion of "System is holding me back" is colloquial nonsense in 2022

Sometimes it's their fault, if you're a gambler or just terrible with spending...yeah it's your fault.

Obviously if your car breaks, then you lose your job, then you lose your house, it's not your fault but it's a legitimate circumstance.

It's what you do once you've become broke that shapes you. If you just stay broke forever, don't care, accumulate more debt, then that part of it is your fault.
