If you didn't buy a Wii U, then the Switch launch lineup gonna be :banderas:

Why do we always say this without putting in the reasons WHY this happens?

This basically ignores everything.

People say the N64 didn't have much 3rd party, I say bullshyt. it did:

Post I found online. N64 was not seeing PS1 now but the N64 held it down.

Gamecube was really the start of the decline.

The shyt had mini discs which were smaller than the DVD standard discs and was selling like crap.
Missing shoulder button and no real 2nd analog stick. put 2+2 together and it's easy to see why games weren't coming to it. Had the GC been selling like the Xbox at least and had a regular disc format and supported controller, you think 3rd parties wouldn't go where money is to be made?

It had some 3rd party support but it started to go downhill.

Bring up the Wii and it sold A LOT but it was basically two Gamecube's duck taped together. shyt was weak next to the PS3/360 and had a gimmick for control. 3rd parties made shovelware for it or didn't put their big games on it because it couldn't even really run them.

Wii U repeated this problem but was worse. Still was weak next to the PS4/XB1 and the controller again was another gimmick that wasn't necessary at all. I think if the Wii U released in 2006 instead of the Wii but had Wii like sales we would've saw even GTA or RDR on the Wii U.

Now with the switch you can't sit here and say it's a gimmick. There's a traditional controller and the system itself can support some of engines running on PS4/XB1 like UE4 and whatnot.

It's supposed to be around XB1 levels of power. If it's selling good and the games can be ported over to it, it'll have good 3rd party support.

It's not rocket science why Nintendo seems to have bad 3rd party support. The NS is basically a regular system that's also portable. I think it'll be bigger than the Wii U. I'll say 60 million lifetime to be conservative.

hope iwata's corpse or reggie is paying you

your N64 list is ass. Deep down you know it. The game.con had that level of third party supprt

The hardware is still weak, Tegra X2.

The PS4 Pro and Scorpio are gonna eclipse this from its launch so the third party ports will be weak as fukk comparatively so we're back to square one of Nintendo being a first party system maker.

How is a remaster bs?? I never understood people who get annoyed at remastered games coming out. Imagine GTA V NOT releasing on PS4/XB1 and that's a frigging huge game. There's way too many folks that skipped the Wii U. These remasters will create a great lineup for launch and for those who missed out. It's leaving money on the table.
You can't release a remaster the next fall, which is something that has happened this gen. Mostly on sony consoles, and you nikkaz would go :blessed:

Let me pull you out of your stupor for a moment. Imagine a movie coming out. Lets make up a movie, lets call it Lardass gets Laid. Its about this Anime watcher who was watching Naruto when all of a sudden a pizzagirl appeared. Sucked him, fukked up, then played some co-op Persona 7 with him before going back to work.
She didn't even charge a delivery fee :wow:
Now after going to the movies to watch it, imagine if that same movie came out next year "remastered" and rereleased in theaters. You'd be like WTF right?
What recently came out..how about Kevin Hart/Rock Central Intelligence. Its been almost a year, you ready to go to the theaters for the remaster?

For the a$$hole who wanted to say "They did it for Titanic" Yes, a decade later. THey didn't make a remaster and rerelease it in one year, it sounds retarded.
So for gamers to go along with this practice is mind boggling. But, it then leads to that remaster being $20 or less so people who like to wait it out/slave to backlogs will benefit the most
Now could you stop hyping up Wii-U game remakes :francis:

As a owner of a Nintendo dust collector (WiiU), Nintendo can eat a dikk, this whole situation left me looking at Nintendo in another light
These Nintendo fanboys are losing it some of them attack Sony and Microsoft for remakes and remasters then praise Nintendo for the same stuff.
the switch concept is cool as fukk, while xbox and sony keep releasing remasters of remasters while you sheep blindly giving them your hard earned money,.

Let's be real here how many legit Nintendo fans didn't buy a Wii U? People like to sit around and trash the Wii U like there was something wrong with it. Outside of long droughts for quality software which all modern Nintendo hardware suffers from it was a typical Nintendo console. It got the traditional franchises and they weren't bad games. Now many of those fans are facing a launch lineup that's shaping up to include many of the games they already own or played.

Because it's bad enough the Wii U is a dust collector, but they want to re-release games I barely played and want me to pay in full? No. I like remasters, but I'm not gonna rebuy nintendo games at this point.

$150 for your system and games.

Enhanced versions on a much better console holy shyt that launch lineup gonna be fukking earth shattering :damn:

Throw in Super Mario 3D World and Bayonetta 2(AGOTG) and it's a fukking wrap.

I also wanted an excuse to throw some gifs in this thread :youngsabo:

The Switch's launch is already incredible especially for non Wii U owners(basically everyone)

Best post in this thread and basically invalidates everything the OP said.

How many consumers that buy the Switch at launch are not going to be WIIU owners. Its will be a very small minority.

The launch is going to include a bunch of X1 and PS4 3rd party ports and a Zelda port.

I bet @Fatboi1 Doesn't even play the WIIU he sold shyt to get

The Switch isn't going to only be sold in March doofus.

People who skipped the Wii U will have access to a library of titles they never played. Stop being a purposeful dumbass.

”Let's be real here how many legit Nintendo fans didn't buy a Wii U?”
True scottsman argument.

What the hell is a legit Nintendo fan?? Someone can be a fan of something to varying degrees. I'm a "fan" of Final Fantasy games yet I didn't buy every FF game nor beat them.

I don't play my Wii U really because I pretty much beat the few games worth playing and I already have a backlog of other games on other platforms.

You're another contrarian troll. It's plain as day. Your dumbassery need to go back to gamefaqs

Who has confirmed that all these WIIU titles will be available for the Switch anyway?

Nothing has been "confirmed" yet as this is still things in the works. This
Why you should be excited about NX’s software output

Instead of focusing our attention solely on hardware, we should really be having a discussion about NX’s software. Based on things I’ve heard, I am 100% confident that the NX’s software output will blow away the Wii U’s first party software output (which was never impressive to begin with). In a single year, the NX will build a larger library of first party games than Wii U produced in three or four years.

This isn’t some hyperbolic statement. This isn’t speculation nor blind optimism. These aren’t my personal fan wishes either. Furthermore, my negative feelings toward the Wii U have zero influence on any of the information mentioned below.

Here is what I’ve been told by my sources close to Nintendo:

  • The big fundamental focal point (and overall goal) behind NX is to vastly increase the software output from Nintendo’s first party teams and studios.
  • To accomplish this, the entire process of how Nintendo develops and produces software has gone through radical changes.
  • There is a new strategy that was put in place to create and release first party software at a faster rate.
  • Multiple unannounced Wii U projects were moved over to NX.
  • The NX could potentially see the highest output of first party software in the company’s history. (I’m talking about the entire lifespan of NX. Not just one or two years.)
Now, there are a few things that need to be mentioned here.

Reminder: A new process/strategy doesn’t necessarily mean that software won’t ever be delayed, or there won’t ever be gaps between releases. There is no “perfect strategy” that will prevent delays if a project requires more polish…or if a project just isn’t coming together as the company had hoped.

Also, the company does Nintendo Directs, so it’s unknown how much software will be revealed at E3 this year. For example: Bayonetta 2 wasn’t announced until three months after E3 2012. Games like Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi Wooly World, and Wind Waker HD weren’t revealed until the January 2013 Direct — two months after Wii U launched.

So it’s possible that Nintendo may save some game announcements for later events after E3 (and after launch). I highly doubt that they will bust their entire load at E3.

With that said, the NX definitely won’t be the shyt show that we experienced on Wii U with three month droughts on a regular basis. At least not when it comes to first party software.
.
This was before E3 and plans had changed to just show Zelda there instead. Now I know ya'll a bunch of cynical chucks and pessimistic pablos but you'll see. :youngsabo:

Iwata basically told 3rd parties to fukk off. Nintendo was still trying to be the top software pub on their own console and they wasn't trying to rock with other companies:

"We don't believe in overwhelming third party support. Frequently, developers use our platforms solely for their own self-interests, so it's hard to form management relationships."

"If the next generation platforms are going to create even more gorgeous looking games using further enhanced functionality, and if that next-gen market can still expand the games industry, then I'm afraid that third-parties may not support Nintendo"

"We just don't care too much about what other companies are doing or are trying to do."
This is rivaling Sony PS3 arrogance :wow:

Yamauchi took a different approach with the SNES' successor the N64, however, which was released in 1996 at least partly to distract attention away from the disastrous Virtual Boy. Yamauchi admitted at the 2001 Space World event that he had deliberately ordered the N64 be difficult to develop for. The intention behind this was to discourage untalented third-party developers from releasing poor-quality games -- it was no longer practical for Yamauchi to personally approve every game -- but the plan backfired somewhat: given the commercial success of previous Nintendo systems, third-party developers were still keen to get their games on a Nintendo console, and this consequently led to a number of sloppy, low-quality third-party games that clashed significantly with the high-quality first- and second-party titles that were being released on the platform.
