It happened because Nintendo ruled with an iron fist when they had the market. they bullied developers and publishers and did whatever they wanted.

When we got close to the N64 and Square wanted a CD drive Nintendo refused because they thought they knew best. Sony came along and was much more accommodating to third parties and from that day forth third parties and Nintendo have gone their separate ways.

At this point the market is only so big. It's just not going to accommodate 3 major players in the same lane. Sony has the largest crowd and Microsoft has the rest so as a third party why bother bringing something like GTA to a Nintendo platform when gamers will buy it on a Sony or Microsoft platform already? You won't be getting any extra sales for it really because the people that want to play it will already have one of the platforms it's on.
To most serious gamers Nintendo platforms are a supplementary device not their primary.

Now if you can make a game like Ace Attorney that appeals to that Nintendo crowd that's different but most mainstream stuff has no reason to hit Nintendo platforms. Ubisoft found that out the hard way last generation when they ported stuff like Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed over and it flopped because the people that want those games already have them on other systems. Nobody is buying a Nintendo system to play Call of Duty or Skyrim.

The jury isn't out on people buying a game like COD on a Nintendo platform. They made them and it failed. Sony and Microsoft already have the mature console gamer spot filled. In reality the market wants to converge on one major console which is why the PS4 sold leagues better than everything else.

Do you honestly believe that there's a substantial number of gamers that want to play a game like GTA but only buy Nintendo systems and can't? Or do you believe most people that wanna play GTA have an Xbox or PlayStation and get the game there?

Let's be real here how many legit Nintendo fans didn't buy a Wii U? People like to sit around and trash the Wii U like there was something wrong with it. Outside of long droughts for quality software which all modern Nintendo hardware suffers from it was a typical Nintendo console. It got the traditional franchises and they weren't bad games. Now many of those fans are facing a launch lineup that's shaping up to include many of the games they already own or played.

It didn't get the traditional franchises. Where was Metroid? Where was Zelda? We got that Mario 3D world which was essentially an HD 3DS game. The most fun I had with my U was playing Earthbound. That system sucked fukking ass

How can you judge the graphics of Zelda on the NS when all we have was some short youtube quality footage which we don't even know if it was actually the NS version or if it was just a video of the Wii U version.

What is shyty about this controller?? The regular Joy cons on the grip thing look pretty much the same. It's a regular controller.

The majority of people on the Wii were casuals who play shyt like Wii Sports, Wii music etc. The actual amount of people who would've bought COD on it were slim as you said, they already bought it on PS3/360. Plus we gonna act like the Wii version of COD was seeing the PS3/360 version. The Wii had Gamecube graphics.

More remasters

Business wise you need remasters for a console that only sold 13 mill unlike the ps3 remasters for a console that sold 80 mill. I won't be getting any of these remasters though .I didn't get WWHD or TPHD because I played and beat them in the gamecube days. Unless I sell the old version and the new version has substantially more content like the two item slots and a better battle mode in MK.
