And all thier new beats dont compare to the old hardware beats

it takes longer but thats what makes it work so well
also no sound can match an asr or an sp
shove ur emulator vsts up ur ass u wannabeez
the digital era has fukked up a lot of the record shops, going out to dig/find samples is a big part of the beatmaking process, almost as important as the actual beat making process itself. A lot of places went out of business because of this.
I dont think it matters what you use to make your beats, all that matter is the end result..Its nice when cats stick to using hardware because it keeps that essence alive and that hardware sound cant be replicated with software
That's completely a myth though and I'm someone who's used a MPC2000XL, ASR-10, MPC4000. The end product like you said is what matters and when you dump from a MPC or ASR-10 to any DAW (Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer, etc) automatically you're compensating for the sound that comes out of those machines hence why Mixing is so important. But even back in early 2002-2003 when Pro Tools was becoming the standard a lot of engineers were already dumping from Pro Tools to say a SSL console (older models) to get that analog sound (Dilated Peoples and Gangstarr were notorious for it). People today still do it, but I think a lot of times those who are stuck in the MPC / Hardware world think the sound is so heavily compromised when it really isn't. I myself still dig and what not, but if you're someone who's really trying to branch off and expand in today's world of Hip Hop (unless one views it as their hobby, which is fine) you gotta progress with the times. Like, how many people today are using an SP1200 to make beats and are successful producers? Dudes even in the 90s reached their limit with that (ie Pete Rock).
Put it this way, if you told me 10 years ago I can have a drum machine that I can import all my existing drum sounds, I can mix my sounds as they're playing, I can record sequences as the beat is playing without having to audition sounds, I can cut samples way easier, I can drag and drop directly into Pro Tools, I'd be on that sh*t with the quickness as would a Million other beat makers / producers.
No doubt man, I agree with you 100%. People used what they could back in the day so to restrict yourself when you have the option of a better way of working nowadays is silly. You can't argue with the convenience software brings..still nice to see cats using hardware though because thats probably where your influences stem from and the sound that made us all fall in love with this art in the first place
