Because I take risks and look at life for what it truly is. Degrees don't guarantee shyt, so I chose to
force cac to give me the experience without it. Ever since I was 18, I believed that unless you're going to school to be a doctor, lawyer or some shyt.. it's a waste of time and money, so I threw the idea of college in the bushes. Wrong or not, that's how I felt, so I followed my gut.
What literally everyone I knew called a huge gamble and "retarded" paid off. Now, I'm 30 with no degree. Zero college loans. No debt. Resume fuego. Better job in Corporate America than most. In High School, I looked at everyone with degrees and saw how those loans were damn near rent payments. My masters degree havin friend has over 100k in student loans, and he makes 5k more than I do. Decades to pay that shyt off. That shyt is slavery. How we still slaves in 2016?
I know many hustlas out here destroying corp america degree less. We chop up game about this shyt all the time, how we beat the system -- My best friend makes 10k more than me and he has no degree either.
For nigs outhea without a degree, here's a little known secret -- there's always a way. You have more experience than you think you do. Just gotta get creative.
But I digress, family. I saw people graduate all like "what now?" since they haven't been grinding for the past four years. I saw people older than me with every degree you could think of, dancing in the mouse suit at chuck e. cheese to NOW14 or whatever the fukk or some shyt like serving coffee at starbucks.
In fact, this nig I knew graduated at the top of his class, I went to cheesecake, he was a muhfukin waiter there.
That was all she wrote for me.
I have over ten years of exp working in finance/banking, now working in pharmaceuticals. Not bad. Everyone I have destroyed in my path has had bachelors and masters degrees. Personally, when it comes to business, I'd much rather save my time and money and find a way to sneak in the back door of these corporations while everyone else is jumping through rings, buckdancing and adhering to the way it's "supposed to be" which sets most people up for failure. It's a guilty pleasure.
While everyone else studied irrelevant things, I was in the streets, honing my interviewing/charismatic/networking skills, my disarming cac skills( emotionally
) and ascertaining an understanding of why nigs get hired. Now, was this road easy? Of course not. But I'd take my year of rejection, experience, embarrassment, struggle, large panel interviews with CEOs, failure and risk over an air conditioned classroom, a piece of paper and a $50k+ bill.
My job has tuition reimbursement, but I still wont go back -- I'm done with working for and begging cac for opportunity. At the moment, i'm working on my own business in cac's office on cac's time.
